Re: Rx Burn
My issue is that if you don't have it in your opener, its a dead draw after turn 4 vs most decks. is it really that good vs bloom? They can typically replace the lands pretty easy, I have found my losses to Amulet are because of radiant fountain and vesuva the same turn.

Free wins, man. Free wins.
Also, it's not THAT bad when topdecked. It's still 2 damage that gives zero fucks about leyline. And most decks that play Leyline are the ones with the slow ass manabases.

Re: Rx Burn
I've gone as far as playing 2 maindeck molten rains main deck, 2 molten rains and 2 cryoclasm sideboard. People are not prepared to see their lands blown up, but also i just love land destruction so i am biased. Anyway if you play 20 lands i feel like 3 molten rains in sideboard are perfects, they are a very good tool against control/midrange/combo decks (anything but aggro)

Abzan, Burn, Affinity, and Twin will be the largest players. Expect a reasonable amount of Grixis and a small Amulet Bloom following.

Also, still winning a lot with just my RW build. I beat a UR moon, Allies, Countryside Crusher, Merfolk, Burn, and Grixis Delver in the last 24 hours.
I lost to a small Zoo deck when I flooded out.

Re: Rx Burn
So can the clan give me modo tickets to grind more or what?!
Ended up 3-1 last night in the daily. Lost 0-2 Abzan, Beat 8rack 2-0, Storm 2-1 (should have been 2-0, I learned that you should just always jam Eidolon), and then Grixis Twin 2-1.
So 20 lands vs 19 seems marginal. That I think I will go back down and stick with 19.
I have also disliked atarkas command, it puts color restrictions on me game 1. Too many times I have had to fetch for stomping ground, only to draw a boros charm, or the other way around. My goal is to create the best G1 deck, so I will just have 4 skullcrack, and 2 lightning helix.
I still want access to two stomping grounds though.
I fell into the trap of boarding in too many reactive cards vs twin, but was still able to pull out the win.
SB might look something like this:
3x Firewalker
4x Des Rev
3x Path (Possibly 2)
2x Deflecting Palm
Flex:
2x Molten Rain
2x atarkas Command
2x Volcanic Fallout
Not sure if I would want to go down to only 3 des rev.
I also feel like I should just mull every 1 land hand... I was keep what 1 landers with multiple one drops and spikes or bolts, and never getting there...

Re: Rx Burn
@Valdarith: Collectively got over 10,000+ boosters (which doesn't mean anything since you'll need way more to hit clan leader-boards but for tiny clan under 2 years old with less then 60 members its quite impressive).
@purp: I wish - its just a counter not real boosters, whenever someone gets boosters it adds to that counter.
I wouldn't cut any Des Rev on MODO because of leyline, I don't think they're as popular on paper so I don't know about that, I'll personally keep 1-lander + lots of 1cc spells since the odds for drawing that 2nd land is rather high.

I think it depends on which MU the Leyline is attached with, in the mirror its doable if you hit a nice creature count and they don't draw gas but vs a combo deck which you'll need to beat quickly......

I actually HOPE that people play leyline as burn hate rather than other silly cards like phirexian unlife and feed the clan for 2 reasons :
- leyline is actually very beatable when you have access to creatures, destructive revelry, atarka's command, molten rain plus others i might be forgetting.
-leyline must be played as a 3-4 of so you can side in your revelries safely against it, while if you play against a singleton unlife you can't side in reverly and you are screwed if they draw it.

My record against Burn so far is 5-1, but I recognize that most of my opponents were very average. I personally feel the matchup is 40-50% depending on play or draw with equally skilled players.

In my experience the match is decided in grixis favor by dragon's claw or a very early tasigur. If neither of them happens, burn wins easy.
Also if you fear grixis delver start playing searing blood in your board, it is amazing against delver/pyromancer/snapcaster decks

Very happy to see your videos again ! I missed them, watching people play burn is a healthy habit .
As for your decklist, i think three palms are too much because they are a reactive card. And i wouldn't board them in against scapeshift.... i would include some number of molten rains to fight scapeshift, tron , abzan, control....
I hope you try to play with eidolon soon because it is an absurd card and having more creatures is good with command.

I'll admit 3 is a lot but its mainly for mirror (where it acts like Helix) and for the big creature.decks where it just wins the game.
Bringing it in against shift was a mistake though, I though it would reflect all the land triggers but I was correct on mtgs.
@Eidolon: I have him on my Friday's videos

I'd personally like to see more Searing Blood in your sideboard. It does WORK against Burn, Affinity, Elves, and Delver. Running Path AND Deflecting Palm in the sideboard is also counterproductive in my opinion. The creatures I'd be pathing are ones I want to keep alive for big hits.
Shaving maindeck Skullcrack may or may not be correct. I have noticed fewer Lightning Helix and Kitchen Finks lately, but the latter is sure to be more popular with everyone jumping on the Collected Company train.

I think running less then 8 "skullcrack" effects is asking to lose against Junk or Collected Company - here is my revised list if I was to play a modern MOCS:
[deck=MDU's Naya Burn]Lands 19
4 Arid Mesa
4 Scalding Tarn

2 Lightning Helix
1 Shard Volley
Sideboard 15
4 Destructive Revelry
3 Skullcrack
3 Kor Firewalker
2 Path to Exile
2 Rending Volley
1 Searing Blaze[/deck]
P.S. If anyone want to toss videos for me to post on my channel I'll be very happy.
P.S.S. I misread Deflecting Palm and was corrected on mtgs - I don't think I'll be running them anymore.
