Me: 0 cards in hand, 0 known cards in deck, catch a glimpse of second card during draw-step, call judge on my self.

Judge: "We'll do this the old fashioned way." Shuffles deck, presents to my opponent, says my penalty is MISSING my draw-step.

Lols ensue from all parties, then I ask since that obviously can't be my penalty and he reassures me it is.

Proceed to lose the game that if my cards came on time would have been literally unlosable. Curb stomp opponent in game 3 for vengeance.

You're making things worse for your own amusement. You're kicking a guy when he's down; a guy most of us consider a friend. I'm asking you as nicely as I can to stop.

Why did the Elemental need to be in his lap?

I really wouldn't have had the guts to get competitive if not for James, and his crusade against vexing devil that 1st year. Too many people in the MTGO community are sitting around waiting to talk shit because they don't do anything else particularly well.

Still trying to jam Tymaret like a baddie. This is certainly a pile of Cards That Do Stuff. Goldfishing @ work to see if it's worth the playtest time.

Hmm... there's an artifact you should consider running in some number then you can up your tymaret count by one or 2:
I mean since your running tymaret and Alesha

Decline hero's blade. The second Tymaret is a dead draw because he can't sacrifice himself, so 3-4x is bad. Can't afford dead cards to create the slim chance of drawing thing + winmore_thing.

Satyr Nyx Smith, Rabblemaster, and Mardu Strike Leader are all rotating in on my tests.

These are the lists I'm testing against:

http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdat ... ckID=81018
http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdat ... ckID=80995
http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdat ... ckID=80713
http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdat ... ckID=80727
http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdat ... ckID=80725
http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdat ... ckID=80704

Seen most frequently in the last ~3 Standard events on SCG. Not the greatest sample, so I have no idea if these see consistent play and what iterations they've gone through. Going to spend the next couple days catching up on the format.
So high, so low, so many things to know.

Cut the Abzan Whip deck from the gauntlet and replace with Abzan Midrange/Control, it's the most popular deck in the format with some key differences from that list

Add GW Devotion

The other stuff looks okay

Heya, Nuwwen. :)

Other dudes to consider for Tymaret shenanigans: Sultai Emissary and Grim Haruspex. Sac the Emissary to get a new dude to sac again. Meanwhile, Haruspex draws cards each time you sac a dude.

There's a B/r sacrifice deck floating around in the developing section. It might give you a few ideas.

Saito came in 9th at a recent GP with mono black aggro, you might want to look at that as well and see if splashing Tymaret is possible
