Came across on of my deck lists from December 2011 (so it's just over three years old):

[deck]
Creatures
4 Chandra's Phoenix
4 Goblin Fireslinger
3 Grim Lavamancer
1 Spikeshot Elder
4 Stormblood Beserker
4 Stromkirk Noble

Non-creature Spells
2 Arc Trail
4 Galvanic Blast
4 Incinerate
4 Shrine of Burning Rage
4 Volt Charge

Lands
4 Copperline Gorge
2 Kessig Wolf Run
12 Mountain
4 Rootbound Crag

Sideboard
3 Ancient Grudge
2 Arc Trail
1 Garruk Relentless
2 Koth of the Hammer
3 Traitorous Blood
4 Vulshok Refugee
[/deck]

I miss having good red decks available.
This is only a few cards different than my first Standard deck when I came back to Magic.

results in the first few weeks of a new format are generally what you want to go and dedicate all of your time and energy to building around because those things never change.

As all my fellow FOSers know, if I REALLY wanted to, I could probably write an essay on why RW is tier 1 and better then the siege rhino decks.

As far as Fazz's draft goes, I stopped closely watching after pack and fast forwarded through since I think he clearly should've been blue and it seemed like he hadn't drafted the set much with so little mention of the bomb common aven surveyor. More importantly though, I detest green in FRF and new I wasn't interested in watching the gameplay videos. I also feel you massively overvalued hunt the weak. That card is ok and the buff to your guys is actually much better then it usually is, but I probably would've deviated colors for one of the black cards since say, reach of shadows feels much stronger as a card. I understand the value of being mono-colored, but by the nature of how the packs/incentive's work, you want to be enemy colors anyways and since you already passed up all the good blue, might as well cement yourself in GB since it looked fairly open.

Passinging infinite abzan guides is criminal. Not having fixing isn't even an excuse since it has morph and you're an 18 land deck anyways. Even if you draft zero lands, you can play 2 guides and go like, 8/8/2 and be fine. Simply having a morph as a curve filler is important, and as a slower deck, your often happy to trade it with your opponents morph all day everyday.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

[deck]4 Soulflayer
4 Sidisi, Brood Tyrant
2 Sagu Mauler
4 Elvish Mystic
4 Satyr Wayfinder
4 Sylvan Caryatid
3 Torrent Elemental
3 Tasigur, the Golden Fang
2 Reclamation Sage

3 Whip of Erebos
3 Commune with the Gods

4 Opulent Palace
3 Polluted Delta
2 Swamp
1 Island
4 Llanowar Wastes
4 Forest
2 Yavimaya Coast
4 Temple of Malady[/deck]

SoulDisi. You're a sidisi deck that's faster with the extra mana dorks, and you have the best resource management. Could see cutting some cards for downfalls or cuts so you have more interaction.

Welp
I'm a moderately skilled League of Legends player and there was a local chicago event coming up so my buddies were like yo lets 'steal that cash by winning at the event' and I was game but i was rusty as hell i hadnt played in 3 months which is a long time. So I watch professional players and watch professional vods for like 4 hours a night and took notes and put on my tryhard trousers to take the game seriously again.
Then team drama
then next week more team drama
then today we practice and everything goes fine for once, no drama
end practice, tell everyone ok be on tomorrow night? ok we're on for tomrrow night
step away for 2 hours, no one left int he facebook group
everyone quit.
2 hours of facebook drama to read through
its all glorious internet drama, but now I have no team.

Thanks for reading my blog

In other news i just obliterated my first modo draft since core set. 8-4 taken down with a retarded mardu deck.

Bloodsoaked champion, both chiefs, double bathe in Dragon fire, double pony back, double mardu war shrieker, ascendancy, two anthems and other shit I'm forgetting. Won round three purely from sideboarding. Game one, i lose to end hostilities and getting drowned in ca so i board in dutiful returned, bitter revaluation, and two high powered creatures for some removal and a typhoid rats. He ends and i return pony back and heelcutter to keep pressuring him before getting there with trumpet blast. Game three, i have a couple guys racing a siege rhino while I'm stuck on mana. Cast bitter rev for gas in middle of game, hit returned for more gas. Harsh sustenance him for the win.

Sideboarding is key boys and girls.

RW is a worse deck for the simple fact that you cannot cast Siege Rhino when you are only playing lands that tap for R and W mana.

Some RW lists run Mana Confluence, I know this because a week or so ago while I was editing Siege Rhino's into everyone's deck lists I was surprised at how many could cast them

I usually say anthem effect instead of just anthem for disambiguation purposes since I understand how it can cause confusion.

Also, am I the only one that hates drafting green? It's really bad. The best decks I draft are in order RW, mardu, jeskai, UW, UG, everything else.
