Lulz. Spend 2 turns playing and donating this dude, then another card to kill the dude you gave them, to net zero cards.

Pretty sure you play this guy as a Goblin Piker, get in a few hits (somehow?) then donate him only once you're able to close the game with the burn that's on top of your deck. Easy turn 5 win.

I'm up at 3 am almost every day. Though I've been doing it for years now so I'm kind of used to it. As a result, I can't sleep in past 8 am unless I've drank a shit ton of booze.

It's basically a mashup of Commander and Legacy. Commander players hate Legacy because it's a tryhard format. Legacy players hate Commander because it's a format for dirty casuals. Tiny Leaders is attempting to find a middle ground.

I think there's more to this card than that. Anything this cheap with "draw two" attached is just begging to be broken.

It's just super-restrictive legacy. It has none of the charm of edh.

Reality Shift
1U
Instant
Exile target creature. Its controller manifests the top card of his or her library. (That player puts the top card of his or her library onto the battlefield face down as a 2/2 creature. If it's a creature card, it can be turned face up any time for its mana cost.)

I love how this card trolls courser decks.

Maybe my inner Johnny isn't strong, but I think decks looking to draw two cards will just play Treasure Cruise instead of trying to build around an effect attached to a marginal creature.

Jeez, I've turned into such a tryhard :apirate:

I'm thinking more along the lines of combo decks in non-rotating formats. It's clearly lacking on its own. I don't think you'd play it unless your deck could break it.

Red dryad arbor : a 1/1 goblin mountain with haste that deals you 2 damages every time you tap it (either for attacking or for mana).
Or I don't know maybe something like:

Good red card
Cost: Mountains
Good red card has no drawback.
Good red card does the things good red cards should do
OR
Does something important to magic in general that red cards are
generally denied in magic.
OR
Is a creature tacked onto a spell for an undercosted amount.
*/*

Such things would please me.
Rabble master was one such card. Young pyromancer as well.

Yeah, it needs to be part of a deck with instant speed untap effects to really abuse it. Jeskai Ascendancy certainly comes to mind.

It's a draw engine with Kiki-Jiki, at least :evillol:

Yes, Twin was the first deck that came to mind. It's a draw four with Pestermite and Exarch and you can make copies of it if you don't yet have the combo.

In Standard, Jeskai Ascendancy is the obvious choice for shenanigans, but it also plays well with Twinflame, Kiora's Follower, Crypsis, Daring Thief, etc.

Ultimately though I think you'll want to go even deeper to make it truly worth playing.

Trap card is a trap.
It's a Johnny card, to be sure. I agree that's it's probably awful, but you can't deny that there are a lot of two card combos to draw two cards off this guy for free. Unfortunately, there are also lots of two card combos that win you the game, so...
