I firmly believe Dig plus Snapcaster is just stronger; I'm of the opinion this will be like Pyromancer / Eidolon in standard last format.

Is Shatterstorm too slow? I'm strongly considering abandoning SB blood moon already so would be in the market for alternatives anyway.

Shattering spree can answer chalice of the void because copies are not cast and is versatile because you can cast it for any amount of mana. Smash to smithereens fits in the aggressive gameplan of the deck (although the dig/snap lists are less aggressive) and is a card i like because i can side it in when i think my opponent will probably have some random annoying artifacts but i know it could stay in my hand for a while without targets .... the possibility of dealing 3 damages makes me feel less bad to side in a card that could be dead. Shatterstorm is obviously the best against affinity but 4 mana are 4 mana. If you fear ensoul artifact on a darksteel citadel you may consider shattering blow, which is also a nice answer to wurmcoil engine.

About Darkblast.Batterskull went back in my SB for Darkblast.
It being Dredge 3 coupled with Delve in Cruise & Dig plus the new Bloodghast_1.2 (Bloodsoaked Champion) led me to experiment with UB Delver.
Pro
Darkblast is faster Cruise/Dig fodder and reusable removal fitting the meta (=UR Delver, Affinity, etc.)
Disfigure hits Burns critters.
Bloodghast
Bloodsoaked Champion
Better removal suite
Greater threat persistance
(Odd revelation: Dimir Charm flips Delver, hard counters Cruise and hits most Tier 1 critters.)
Con
No burn to the head.
No direct artifact hate

Disfigure, Bloodghast and Bloodsoaked Champions are not good reasons to be in black.
It's also not about writing out Alistair of which archetype has more positive attributes, because that assumes that they're equally weighted, which they're not; Lightning Bolt is the best spell in the format and Pyromancer might be the best creature; no card on black is close to the power lever of either. That's not to say that there isn't reason to consider black, but it's not for some crappy creatures.

I mean "better removal suite" and Disfigure are just non-starter arguments mate.
Dark Blast, Doom Blade and Dimir Charm are gas though.

Thank God Zem posted so I didn't have to.
Grixis Delver is a legit consideration. UB is not.

Jund and UWR are the two most popular decks here. I'd say each is still 10% of our meta.
And yeah zero games dropped, zero fucks given.

Like we've collectively discussed, sideboards should reflect your meta; I don't think mine is exemplary of anything.
