I've downloaded Dawn of War gold with Winter Assault. It's pretty decent.

Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds

If you loved AoEII and you love Star Wars, that is what you should play. It uses the same engine, and it's basically the same game... except you get to build X-Wings!

DoW soulstorm skirmish is pretty cool. i like how the necrons are different in that they dont need resources to build but still use the resource points to speed up building

But really, I was only ever decent at WC3 FT ladder as Orcs. Had the most fun playing AoE 2 Conquerors, though.

my biggest problem with dota 1 was the entry barrier since a lot of people are such elitist assholes they will ban you for saying hello.

Oh, it 100% does. The communities of all 3 are toxic.

You eventually build up a skin of sorts, that or you just ignore your team at all points/not play (the two are basically the same). But I find it enjoyable with higher-skill people and/or friends.

OMG THAT GAME. So good. Old and crappy looking, but really good.

Anyone like total war series? I find it too easy but the battles and combat are great
