Does anyone use the beta client? It looks so much nicer, but is functionality improved?
Actually playing a game on the beta client is much better than on the normal one. The problem is that nearly every other part of the program (chat, deckbuilding, collection, trade lists, etc) is a step backwards.

Does the MOCS season 4 deadline of March 26 still stand? I assume so.
Yes, but MOCS4 most likely won't be on next month (unless Wizards gets some competent staff with the new recruitment drive).

Well, I am still going to get 45 QPs just in case, but this really kills my motivation to play 8-mans. May as well just play DEs for funds.

Hopped in another 8man after I put the baby down -- r1 g3 he drops 3 master of waves to empty his hand -- I'm sitting with 3 chained to the rocks in my hand. One of the most satisfying wins I've had against the u/w devotion.

that last rupee count looks like a mouse or a dog or something standing on its hind legs and looking forward (in profile). just thought I would point that out...

anyways, 1-0 in the sealed daily with a very solid RG deck featuring 6 2/1s for 2 mana or less, 5 +2+2 enchantments on turn 3, and arbor colossus.

won round 1 rather easily in 2 games without seeing arbor colossus or my hydra dude.

Pretty much it, just farm 35 or (45/60/75/80 depending on how crazed you are) then focus on DE for funds.

On the topics of Funds I'm running short (sitting on my last 50+ tickets) I might need to sell some THS, Promo Cards or old cards.

Pedros how on earth are you staying inf. without selling anything for so long :helix:
DtR Clan rankings:
1. MDU (46) - 138
2. Jedi_Knight (126) - 100 (I'm glad the RB is working )
3. Kawa_Pedros (150) - 91 (Your tied with about 6 other people, try and hit top130, from that point it should be rather easy to maintain)

i just had a draft stalemate with my opponent where all my creatures had hexproof and all his had flying. i had a bident in my deck and a griptide in hand for archetype. blow-out imminent when i activate bident.

bident last card in deck. i deck myself with 17 lands in play and every creature on board.

First I lose every 8-man I enter today 1-2, facing blue devotion or hexproof each time. Then I proceed to win a modern 8-man playing Living End for the first time.

Makes complete sense.

Up to 23 QP's now.

Huh just now nticed this thread. Pages fly quick.

Won't touch 8man again... until I decide i need some more MTG between rounds during daily. :D

BTW why 45 QP? For triple prelim entry?

http://www.magicev.com/

With a 60% win rate (mine is a little higher, but for argument's sake):

DEs are worth +$4.50
8-mans are worth +$0.10
2-mans are worth -$0.16

The primary reason to play 8-mans is that they're the fastest way to get QPs, by a lot. When every 15 QPs gives me a shot at $100, I want QPs. When they don't, well, I would rather run through the DEs and build my bankroll.
