I don't like it. Call me a conservative, but chips are supposed to go beside the sandwich, okay? This is actually a big deal for me. I even quit my job because of it.

Mostly I want to know when we as an (international!) society became so lazy that we can't put the chips on the sandwich ourselves. If you are going to top the sub with chips, they should be used like any other condiment: to personal taste. I get that Subways' schtick is to add the toppings for you, but unlike
vinagrette and other arcane toppings you probably won't have on hand, the bags of chips are self-contained and right by the cash register! The only alternative I can think of is that it eliminates some weird stigma people have against using chips as topping, which is just... childish?
