Yea. I think the setup was cool but unbalanced and overall the game was very frustrating for me. I feel that the all town neighborhood would turn out the way it did quite often and that is a huge waste of time/disadvantage for the town. Pie's role is overpowered IMO and in combination with rezombad's an the neighborhood thing it just seems very stilted towards the mafia.
Yes, kaze, you "faked" your roles. Pie's was basically faked for you, you basically claimed your real role, and rcw claimed vanilla. Masterful.
That also doesn't address the fact that G_R's role and tube's role were anti-town.

I had no idea how to claim to be honest. There's no way I could claim my real role ability the way Pie did - prevent all non-scumkill night actions? Yeah, that has town written all over it...Yes, kaze, you "faked" your roles. Pie's was basically faked for you, you basically claimed your real role, and rcw claimed vanilla. Masterful.
And I had no idea where to start with making up a role to claim. Once I realized Ham claimed vanilla I jumped on it, figuring it was the safest of only bad options.

role-madness game at that point and when you claimed VT I literally physically shook my head at the screen.
Luckily you didn't get called out on that. Throwing around "Iso game" like it was a catch-all reason for any setup-fuckery helped.

The setup was very swingy. Dunno if it was balanced or not, but swingy is accurate.
I do like the role I got. I haven't had a lengthy PM like that since a mafia game I played on GameFAQs (tl;dr, scum bulletproof/investigation-proof godfather that acquired one-shot abilities of any teammates that died... there were 5 scum total). And the ability I dismissed as most useless came back to help us win. Originally I was just gonna use it to pit Tube and Starbuck against each other, then Star died and didn't seem to have an action, which worked out for us. Once Tube claimed I decided to pull a gambit and claim Loki, Amnesiac Cop JoaT. I'm quite happy with the gambit I pulled once I was thinking out the claim and realized it was easy to fake.
Also, after discussing saying Starbuck in the message a ton in the
scum QT, I slipped and was going to PM Iso with "Starbuck did not visit anyone last night." and almost didn't change it in time for deadline. Whoops.

If you don't know how to lie, then how do you know if you're being lied to?
The answer? Use a gun. And if that don't work... use more gun.

Yeah once you hit the all-neighborhood thing I cursed out loud. But trust me, there's really no way I could have thought up a role that would sound even remotely convincing. I barely even understand the basic roles, let alone how to combine them and/or phrase them in flavor-speak.Ham and James were neighbors, though. I share the sentiments of the others, the set-up was very very swingy. Different role allocation may have led for a better game. I'm not sure if having the three weakest players in the neighbourhood was wise; if that was random then so be it, if not, well Iso-game I guess.

They way Tube played have is very little chance to win. Basically guaranteed for town deaths.
Don't lie as town FFS. Don't freak out under pressure. People hounding you are probably town. I have no idea why you thought I was mafia and you bullshit little rant before killing me, fuck.

More experienced players can give you better notes than I can, but you can't freak out like that. The daykill is whatever, but they way you reacted under mild pressure as town is the issue. I needed one good post from you to clear the neighbourhood and every post was just so scummy. You're going to be a mislynch a lot playing like that, so I hope you read back through the thread and see how others were able to argue against pressure out on them.
And maybe don't give little speeches. You have no idea how angry I was, none at all.

I had fun, overall. I knew pie was scum the whole time, but wasn't able to prove it as well as they were able to turn people against me. The whole yanni/stardust/lmd thing was rediculous.
I didn't like how I had an endgame ability that I couldn't use because we only had one night. With the planning of a loss of a night I was basically a vt
I didn't like how the 3 weakest players were put into a neighborhood with a neighborhood exclusive dayvig. Basically removing one town from the setup and adding 2 more vanillas
I didn't like the hidden parts of my ability re:neighborhood, or lmd's
I don't like yanni's ability, get copped or docced? die instead.
I don't like that Iso let pie change his Night 1 message after he submitted it. "well I PMed Iso and said Starbuck instead of Stardust"
tube, my record is 1w 2l so don't worry about it.

I really don't think Tube's reaction under pressure was a big deal, honestly. It was more the town's fault in that regard. You need to be able to tell the difference between town flail and scum flail. Tube's was obviously the former, as it missed the key component of reaching-out that distinguishes it from the latter. Tube wasn't wrong in being suspicious of his neighborhood - that was the intention of the setup. His only real bork-up this game was pulling the trigger too soon.
Now that I'm thinking about it, what the hell is up with this meta? Vigs are pulling triggers way too soon, in my opinion. Rectify that shit.

It's more that instead of calmly arguing he freaked the fuck out. He knew we were in the same neighbourhood and that neighbourhoods usually contain 1 scum. So I needed to clear him.
If I were scum if want him around to nightchat with. He knows I'm in my first game, does he really think I'm going to be that active as scum game 1? Really? He needed to demonstrate an intent to find scum and he didn't. He was caught lying as town twice. Don't make excuses for him.

Lying as town isn't a bad thing if you know what you're doing. If I were town, I probably still would have pulled that Voteless townie gambit. Granted, he didn't know what he was doing, but still.
And the whole "does he really think I'll be that active as scum game 1" argument is WIFOM and not an argument.

Why wasnt the neighborhood able to daychat?
I lied as town. It helped me get rid of that inkling (that I always have) of imopen being scum.

Explain tube.
@ ham, no I think you were dead as well. Daykill basically confirmed Tube as town and an all town-neighbourhood is uncommon. They passive way you counter-argued I yhink made you an easy mislynch though. As a spectator the arguments from the others were much more compelling; both you're both inexperienced and in a pretty crap spot to begin with.

The vig didn't bother me that much, personally. The only reason I though you were scummy was because pie was buddying you so fucking hard.let it all out

Why didn't you tunnel me then? I feel like I was probably the low-hanging-fruit on the scumteam - the easier of the 3 to lynch. And you wouldn't have known this, but it was basically my ability's existence that sealed the win.You were watching, did I ever not have rcw or pie in my top 3 scum?I really don't think Tube's reaction under pressure was a big deal, honestly. My problem with the set up is how it relied on certain town realizing to target stardust at the same time and then rezombad to Rez stardust to make it a non issue, although it partially worked out so w/e
Setup was interesting, I like how there was synergy between the roles(despite my previous statement)
The roles I don't think were per se anti-town, Yanni targeted stardust presumably because stardust basically told him to and I somehow came to the conclusion to target stardust, if only I could've targeted rezombad afterwards, alas
Had fun, gg
