As I said in that other thread, I'm tempted to skip B&W1 and just start with BW2 straightaway.

I could go with the original one first, but I tend to sink like 200hours in a pokemon game, so I figured: why wait, if I try to finish the first one, when I'll get to B&W2 once everyone is done with it already and I might just join the fun straightaway. What do you guys think?

so i finally got around to trying to finish white 1 and am up to the ghetsis battle (i go OHKO'd by that fucken spA dragon) without losing against anyone the whole time, so after 2 days i remembered the reason i stopped playing to begin with was the game being like 1000 times easier than every other game, or i am just better idk but it's not even that interesting and the pokemon league was a joke i mean i pretty much wiped all but the fighting dude with a krookadile with stab crunch and bulldoze and literally just OHKO'd every pokemon that the ghost/psychic leaders had.

it is still kind of fun i guess but it's kind of disappointing, still saving to get white 2, i hope it's better than white 1.

My big hole is dragon pokemon that outspeed haxxorus, which is most. I dont have any ice coverage so really i have to burn them with volcaroma flame body, jellicents will o wisp or porygon hijinks to get an attack cut and then beat on them with volcarna.

TBH, until a week or two ago, I didn't even realize he was considered OU.

Considered it, but im not sure if i want the speed boost or the ablity to just ohko near everything. I might need to go scarf as ive recently had trouble in back to back battles wit faster dragons killing haxorus, then i have to fall back on using jellicent'swill o wisp to cut their attack and then volt switch sniping them.

Can anyone briefly go over the differences between Black and White and Black 2 and White 2? What should someone who hasn't played since GBA get?

BW2 is just a continue along with the storyline to an extent

But to answer you question, both B&W and B&W2 are very strong games. B&W2 has the advantage of having pokemons from the previous gens, whereas, BW only has gen5 pokemons (149 I think).

If you can get B&W for cheap go for it, otherwise chose B&W2
