What the fucking hell happened to Clan's Subforum?
Sorry, Yarpus...I hit edit rather than quote the first time.

What do you mean "what happened"? Do you mean it's changed or you can't see it? If you're talking about the changes, let me finish setting things up and I'll explain in detail. If you can't see the forum...lmk right away so that I can make sure I didn't monkey-wrench something.

Phil: I'm a god. I'm not the God. I don't think.

Looks a bit messy and overcomplicated IMO, but let's wait till the finish to say anything. Still, thanks for your hardwork. :)

Looks like Magma Jet is in two of the Intro decks (the red one has two copies...). Well, that will drop the value a bit.

OK, Heroic Boros is not good!

However:
4 Burning Tree Emissary
4 Firedrinker Satyr
4 Firefist Striker
4 Foundry Street Denizen
4 Gore-House Chainwalker
4 Rakdos Cackler

4 Anax and Cymede

4 Boros Charm
4 Chained to the Rocks
3 Coordinated Assault

4 Sacred Foundry
4 Temple Garden
3 Temple of Triumph
10 Mountain

Maybe?

Need help with:
- spell load out
- best spells than can also trigger heroic on Anax and Cymede for the ROFL blowouts.

Maybe the Wr version is better?

IIRC there are more Heroic targets from white. Maybe that would be the better approach. Also, Martial Glory?

I tried brewing an actual Heoric deck and it looked really crappy. This is basically RW Aggro, that has the upside of doing some scary stuff with Anax and Cymede, which I think is a better option.

If that's the case, there aren't much creatures in white that are aggressive enough. You do get guys like Dryad Militant, and Imposing Sovereign.

Wr version:

4 Favored Hoplite
4 Soldier of the Panteon
4 Phalanx Leader
4 Precinct Captain
4 Fabled Hero
3 Anax and Cymede

Spells (16)
4 Coordinated Assault
4 Martial Glory
4 Boros Charm
4 Flames of the
Firebrand

Lands (21)
4 Sacred Foundry
11 Plains
6 Mountains

Might be strictly casual.

I wonder if this has been epidermic with fire mages in general, but I also get myself an upset stomach for days now.

Regarding mtgo, anyone knows any bots to check on for reasonable prices? The one I frequent is ClanTeam.

Try to consider Martial Glory we can target the same heroic creature twice, and we get the heroic trigger twice, not so bad, right ?

edit: nath'ed twice!!!

Kuroda Boros testing occurred last night. Chandra is so ridiculously good against aggro decks, it's disgusting. Played against White Weenie first game and Chandra made him concede after she continually killed his one and two drops. It was a thing of beauty seeing ole Thunder Thighs get her time to shine. It took me a bit to stabilize and I let him swing in through turn 3 and then dropped Anger of the Gods and literally cackled like a maniac. Low curve aggro decks just gg to Anger.

Okay...I'm guessing the folks who haven't been here all night as I set about revamping the clan area are going to start showing up and wondering WTF...

I will post at length about the changes in a bit, but some quick points:

- The original Brewery thread will be locked down in the near future assuming there is no major objection; start looking towards posting in the specific area of the new Brewery forum that pertains to the list you want to discuss, and copy anything from the original thread that you want to be able to better access over into the appropriate area of the Brewery.

- Refrain from starting redundant threads. There is already confusion that's going to need sorted out from the multiple "Post-Theros Red" threads.

- Start posting any decklists that you don't want the whole world to have access to in the appropriate areas of the Brewery forum and then drop a link over
here in the main clan thread to open discussion. Moving decklists to keep track of them is more labor-intensive than moving a few comments. If you don't care about lists being open to "guests", then feel free to continue posting lists here, but if you have the time to do so, post a copy in the appropriate deck thread as well.

If you target two Heroic creatures, you'll get two triggers, but if you target one you'll only get one.

It's because Heroic counts the number of spells that target, not the number of targets and Martial Glory is still only one spell.

Ohhh, man..., i am really happy when i found Martial Glory, but looks like Heroic deck can't go competitive

so i am brewing a little bit,

3 Stormbreath Dragon

4 Anger of the Gods
4 Lightning Strike
4 Magma Jet

3 Hammer of Purphoros

3 Chandra, Pyromaster

Probably needs more land in it. That list is running 9 4 drops and 3 5 drops. I don't think you'll be able to hit your curve on just 21 lands.

I think Frostburn Weird works better than Ash Zealot in that shell, Fanatic is probably not good in a Midrange build, 3 Hammer is likely 1 too many, I'd play Mortars over Anger MD, and you need 24-25 lands total. So I'd go:
-4 Zealot
-3 Fanatic
-4 Anger
-1 Hammer
+4 Frostburn
+1 Ember Swallower
+1 Nythos, Shrine of Nyx
+2 Mutavault
+3 Mizzium Mortars

Would I be an idiot for ordering a playset of Stormbreath Dragons at $16 each? I'm in love with the kuroda boros brew (although dragon does feel worse than both member swallower and Chandra), and I'd love to bring it to states.

Just got caught up on StarCity and Kibler put out a few interesting decks. These got my interest.

[DECK]
4 Firedrinker Satyr
4 Gore-House Chainwalker
3 Hellhole Flailer
4 Rakdos Cackler
4 Spike Jester
4 Tormented Hero
3 Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch
3 Tymaret, the Murder King
Lands (24)

8 Mountain
8 swamp
4 Blood Crypt
4 Rakdos Guildgate
Spells (7)

4 Lightning Strike
3 Dreadbore
[/DECK]

[DECK]
4 Ash Zealot
4 Boros Reckoner
4 Chandra's Phoenix
3 Ember Swallower
4 Stormbreath Dragon
3 Purphoros, God of the Forge
Planeswalkers (3)

3 Chandra, Pyromaster
Lands (25)

23 Mountain
2 Mutavault
Spells (10)

4 Lightning Strike
3 Magma Jet
1 Hammer of Purphoros
2 Anger of the Gods
[/DECK]

I like that Murder King dude and Excava is a
powerful creature that is hard as hell to be blocked and avoids Doom Blade and Ultimate Price
The first deckk is meh, I get where he's going with it running cheap creatures that can get a little value from exava's haste bonus then sac them to murder king for extra shock, I just don't think it'll get there before the opponent stabilizes. Love the second deck, mono red sledge hammer that looks to make use of purphorus himself by running all creatures with devo 2 or better though personally I'd go with -2 anger -1 purph -3 ember for +1 hammer +1 jet +4 fanatic And maybe switch a mountain for a 3rd muta

Photo- are you done organizing? There are several duplicate threads and I'm not totally sure where to post.
I'm about done with building, I believe, but we're going to need to decide what to do with some stuff...

So here's the basic layout of things--

Building off of the idea of the original brewing thread I started, I expanding our creative content area out to a full forum. The purpose of this was to reduce the sheer amount of material being posted in one place and thus make specific things easier to find and general things easier to research. The Brewery is
subdivided into 3 logical areas given the nature of this clan--R(x)(x) Standard, Non-Red Standard, and everything else.

From there, the only extra organizational levels thus far are within the Red Standard forum. At the top, I have five stickies representing the five major flavors of red decks--Mono-Red, Boros, Gruul, Izzet and [url=http://diestoremoval.com/
viewtopic.php?f=101&t=1511]Rakdos[/url]. The purpose of these stickies to act as chronological stores of deck ideas--an ongoing brewing discussion for that particular deck flavor. This is where deck ideas should be aired or at least stored; it is also where I will endeavor to carry things that come up in this clan thread that we don't want to lose. Obviously moving stuff that way is labor-intensive, so the less we have to move, the better.

For topics/decks that don't fit in the stickies, you can create a new thread, as I did for LK's proposed Jund deck. In other words, just like on Sally or any other site.

I think this structure will work well for what we would want it for, which is brewing and sharing of information that we're not ready to release out into the open forums. This clan stayed well ahead of the curve with a number of archetypes this past season, and we're
all well aware that there are folks who grabbed content and presented it as their own in more prominent arenas. This provides us with the ability to organize and explore ideas and hopefully be able to easily find what we want and see what's already here.

ISSUES:

-We have several discussion threads--some redundant such as the multiple mono-red-post-Theros threads--that contain many, many posts. I have moved them around to the areas where they best fit, but we have to decide what to do with them. What I would suggest is that everyone who's made use of these threads go back through and copy/paste anything you still think relevant into the new discussion stickies/forums. Ultimately, I'd like to lock all those threads to prevent confusion over where people are talking and where one should post.

-This whole restructuring is only as good as we make it. The overbearing modding on Sally drove us all nuts, but the one thing they do well is keep things tidy and easy to browse. Given that this is just
a behind-the-curtain clan strategy area, I don't expect we're going to generate enough content to really scrub up the place, but things work best if everyone is on the same page.

-Thread naming--I posted an announcement that I need everyone to read and comment on as needed. This is simply a proposed use of prefixes to help organize threads.

Okay, wall of text now and I need sleep.

Please post questions, comments, gripes, whatever...if this works for the clan, awesome! If not, tell me what you want different and we'll go from there.

Also, for our Tier 2+ members, the T-Shirt interest thread is now open in the Restricted forums. If you want one, be sure to post up.

Degenerate? Sure. Loudmouth? You bet. Law abiding? No ****ing way.

Great guy to have around? Hell yes.
I love the D...

Just got caught up on StarCity and Kibler put out a few interesting decks. These got my interest.

[DECK]
4 Firedrinker Satyr
4 Gore-House Chainwalker
3 Hellhole Flailer
4 Rakdos Cackler
4 Spike Jester
4 Tormented Hero
3 Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch
3 Tymaret, the Murder King
Lands (24)

8 Mountain
8 swamp
4 Blood Crypt
4 Rakdos Guildgate
Spells (7)

4 Lightning Strike
3 Dreadbore
[/DECK]

[DECK]
4 Ash Zealot
4 Boros Reckoner
4 Chandra's Phoenix
3 Ember Swallower
4 Stormbreath Dragon
3 Purphoros, God of the Forge
Planeswalkers (3)

3 Chandra, Pyromaster
Lands (25)

23
Mountain
2 Mutavault
Spells (10)

4 Lightning Strike
3 Magma Jet
1 Hammer of Purphoros
2 Anger of the Gods
[/DECK]

I like that Murder King dude and Excava is a powerful creature that is hard as hell to be blocked and avoids Doom Blade and Ultimate Price
I also like that second list, it's very similar to what I plan on testing, however; as much as I want Purphoros to be good, I suspect he isn't. You don't really have enough creatures to take
advantage of his trigger, and I suspect that if you have enough creatures out to turn him into a creature, you're already winning, especialy with only one hammer as a non-creature way to turn him on. I'll probably test with him to confirm, but right now I'm thinking -3 Purphoros, + 1 Ember Swallower, +1 Hammer, + 1 burn spell, and consider switching anger for mortars, with the other in the SB, depending on the meta. I'd also be interested in finding ot how good fanatic ends up being.

Well, the Standard forum cleanout is mostly done. We need to obliterate the old archetype subforums in competitive, but that's something Scumbag is either going to have to give us permissions to do, or he'll have to do it himself, since right now we don't have the mod power to do it ourselves.
