It certainly doesn't hurt to pick them up since I'm assuming they're cheap, but we currently have no reason to suspect RB will be viable, and 3 Sarkhan's will be more than acceptable once SBD is gone. Lastly, we have an entire set based on dragons coming out next month to add more competition. well...
basicly vs abzan you want to be the controldeck, since thanks to rhino and so on they have a pretty good matchup vs aggro. you want all the hard removal you can get. aka end hostilites, stance, chained if you dont have 4 already and so on.. vs abzan midrange you dont realy need your cheap burn spell...
btw: no r/w aggro made it to the top 8 of the grand prix, but many did pretty good at least what i could see. there still seem quite a few r/w lists in the run on the scg open. seems like i really need to switch to r/w instead of mardu, even if i dont like to leave my lovely butcher and crackling do...
Heliod's Pilgrim. hmm is he really that good? i mean he is not a really impressive by himself, his his fetching cained to rocks so good? but when i think of it, he at least blocks tokens without dying and often you can play him, fetch the chained and use the chained on the same turn. seems like i m...

Never said that sbd is > sarkhan. I play 2 of each since 4 sarkhans is just too much :). I still haze roc. He is boring, slow, a shitty bird. Will never ever play him. Good thing we have alternatives which are not really worse :). And btw: it happens a lot that you have nothing on board vs all those...

dragon always is the better choice. Your argument is compelling. Go on... i just think, that stormbreath and sarkhan are both way better in our deck than roc. he is slow, clunky and has only 3 power. also i never play creatues without haste or immediate impact after 3 mana when im playing red. that...

and i still dont think that ashcloud is really good... without haste he is a 4/1 flyer for 4 who dies to just everything. sure you can flip him and stuff, but that costs so much mana, and does not do that much. im not a fan of him. butcher is just so much better. i dont think we should play other cr...

Look at it this way. Roc is 6 power with evasion and conditional life gain for 5 mana. I'll definitely be playing it. its not. its 2 creatures, and both can be blocked and handled with seperatly. thats a huge difference. also its not even ALWAYS 2 creatures. even on a token deck there will be times...

Roc needs two cards (not counting Wrath) to deal with everything it represents so it generates card advantage by itself... it may be less aggresive but it is in no way a bad card compared to SBD. It may even have more lategame power. that is where i disagree, a 3/4 flyer without vigilance or someth...

yeah he doesnt, but sometimes it forces you into stupid attacks because you need the raid. also he only is 3/4 which means he cant even kill a rhino, if you dont block with both of them. stormbreath kills them anyway since prot from white and 4 damage. one of them do not even kill butcher. means you...

and i still think that roc is just way worse than stormbreath or sarkhan. i see absolutly no reason why you would play him.. over one of those. he is slower, he is weaker, he just does nothing better than sarkhan and stormbreath... i think he was only seen in those mardu lists, because they jumped o...

played mardu tokens on my gameday, and finished the swiss as first with 4:0 and lost in the finals for the playmat 1:2 to the same jeskai deck i beat in the swiss.. by 1 life :D. he topdecked the card he needed to do exactly lethal before i would have killed him next turn. but anyway, was lots of fu...

i think your deck is not fast enough and does not go deep enough to be good lategame. its not fish nore flesh its something between aggro and midrange. if i were you: remove tymaret and bloodsoaked (mb put bloodsoaked into sideboard vs control), add sorin (why the hell is there no sorin in a token l...

btw: swiftspear is your best 1-drop. when you sideboard for the go big plan, you remove the denizens and satyrs and not the swiftspears in my oppinion. especialy because you add more spells with harness by force, and ride down. btw: it just feels as good as sacrificing things into aristocrats after ...
