If by with ability you mean with drawback, yes, you're correct.

It doesn't have to be a drawback.
Give it first strike and make it able to block Everything and... it's less Terrible but still pretty bad. May be fun at the kitchen table.

giving your opponent's creatures lifelink is a drawback. playing cards to offset that drawback doesn't make that effect not a drawback.
does this mean you're running runechanter's pike alms beast dot deck come february?
