Battalion: Whenever ~ and two or more creatures attack, ~ deals 3 damage to target creature or player and you gain 3 life.



This feels like a complete swing and a miss for aggro. Even with a mana base where the symbols don't matter on cards, a four drop without haste and three toughness will likely not make the cut. Battalion also feels like another bad mechanic, that caters to that whole "balls to the wall" strategy.

occasionally right.

I see a potentially very powerful ability on a clearly poor example for Constructed. If they cost this ability aggressively on 1-3 drops in Boros then things will be interesting.

This card seems lame.

It seem prudent at this point to prognosticate that there will be a sorcery that puts 2 guys with haste into play, probably goblins and probably at the 1R slot.

If the ability is the same on all cards with it, a 1-3 drop in this brave new world of token-based decks would be rather insane.

Maybe the damage/life output is based on the CMC of the card? Or is everything ever lightning helix with this? NEED MORE INFORMATION MAN.
