Say I wanted to try and play WW in modern.

Here's a list that I slapped together quickly:
[deck]4 Precinct Captain
4 Azorius Arrester
4 Silverblade Paladin
4 Elite Vanguard
3 Thalia, Guardian of Thraben
4 Hero of Bladehold
4 Student of Warfare
4 Figure of Destiny

4 Honor of the pure
4 Path to Exile

20 Plains
1 Emeria, the Sky Ruin

//SB
1 Oblivion Ring
1 Jotun Grunt
1 Mana Tithe
1 Rest In Peace
1 Ethersworn Cannonist
1 Celestial Purge
1 Kor Firewalker
1 Kataki, War's Wage[/deck]

The Arrester is probably one of the weak links in this list, but I really like the detain effect and it makes for a decent top-deck.
The sideboard just lists some options that could prove useful against some of the popular match-ups.
Are there any auto-includes I am missing here? Is this archetype just terrible in general (maybe more cards in Gatecrash)?

Mirran Crusader is, imo, a staple given how good Jund is. It lets you push 4 damage a turn and aside from bolt, it can't be hit by their removal.
Spectral Procession is also an auto 4 of. you're not playing an non-white lands, so it will always cost 3 mana for 3 flyers. The white hideaway land is also the truth if you're playing SP.

Arrester is cute, but I'm not sure how good it really is.

21 lands might be a bit too low.

when going that heavy with three drops, I'd want another land. Hero of Bladehold is good, but at four mana you may want to cut one so you can consistently hit three mana on turn three.

Yeah that makes sense, I think I'd rather drop one of the Silverblade Paladins.
-1 Paladin, +1 Plains
