I thought it was too. Glad it's not, I guess. I've been trying to get one of those for ages.

Maybe the land slot is replaced with conspiracy cards?? Has that been established yet?

The conspiracy cards do have a rarity, so unlikely. I guess it's possible they would change the distribution of them within the land slot? Doubt it though.

watch the WOTC promo video and try to see if the basics look new? impossible but worth a try.

This is also a summer product designed for drafting. It wouldn't necessarily require a basic land (which is always kind of a nuisance while drafting anyway)

Sure, but I haven't seen anything to suggest it'll be one guaranteed conspiracy card in every pack. Maybe they'll just replace it with a common like in the good ol' days. Either way, this is pointless speculation.

It's a new card type and one of the draws to the product. I would wager that there is a conspiracy card per pack since foils are still a thing but the product is sold at msrp.

The artwork is the thing I like the most. Finally they went away from that digital looking crap and into a solid fantasy theme. Its too bad they have to wosren the card frames in exchange

I'm sort of pretending it's not even really magic that these cards are printed in but a different game that just happens to have the same rules as magic and also just happens to have $40 legacy staples randomly inserted

New card frames are in M15. This product is before that.

Regardless of your feelings about the Conspiracy cards themselves, this product is going to be awesome. The reprints, plus the newly announced cards have already got me psyched for this.

Sorry for not being clear I was broadly speaking, I like how the general brand artwork has been evolving as of late and I'm a little bit sad they couldn't put a little more effort in getting some better looking card frames, but then again I'm still scarred from the great 2003 onslaught of new cardframes scourge so YMMV
