Terrariums

Postby Captain Murphy » Thu Jan 30, 2014 6:58 am

Anyone own a terrarium? Its a little hobby of mine to make them, they are great for in an office or apartment to see a little ecosystem thrive for months on the few teaspoons of water you give them!

I'm more of an aquarium guy, but I used to had some terrariums going when I was younger.

I've seen the videos and I'd love a fish tank, I'm just not ready for the cost and the upkeep. If I was to get one I'd blow money on clown fish, anemones and other nice coral reef fish. Very expensive but nice.

Just the one my tarantula lived in, but that was years ago. And I guess the salamander I caught too. I wonder if he's still alive...

I've considered using animals but the closest thing to feeding something in a terrarium was making a nice one with a venus fly trap. It was fun sealing some flies in there and watching it feed.
