I've been destroying stuff with Priest decks. Putting down a creature with taunt -> buffing health -> healing it every turn with 1-3 "whenever a minion is healed, draw a card" creatures on the board is goodstuff, apparently.
I tried this out last night. I can see how this has potential. Now to level up my Priest and get some more expert cards.

I discovered yesterday that Hearthstone doesn't process simultaneous triggered effects like Magic does. I set up this complex play where I had the 4/2 that drew a card when a friendly minion dies, then attacked for a bunch, then killed off a whole board full of x/1s, including the 4/2 with 1 damage already on him.
Didn't get any cards because dude has to survive, unlike in MTG. Boooooo!

Never got into WoW. Probably a good thing. If something is fun and interesting, I tend to devote too much time to it. Like Hearthstone. I think I've played more Hearthstone in the last week than MTG in the last few months.

Finally had a chance since the reset to play again, win streak down to rank 13 with a new deck, its been good.

If you play her turn 1, always attack with her and heal her turn 2. 2 mana for a free draw is
always a good play. Watch out for if you go against a warlock and he plays a healing totem, you can just attack it and play a 2 drop because you will get a draw next turn off the totems ability.

I mean, they only get 2 assassinates in constructed, just bait it out with something good but not that great. Other classes have more forms of hard removal. Lord of the arena is so so

Also if they play it turn 5 thats all they do for a turn, if you can apply pressure before them your tempo will be better than the removal of a single creature

Seems well rounded, its hard to say without knowing what other picks you had. Cobra is a weak pick.
I just went 10-3 with a mage in arena and the deck was pretty bad so sometimes you just get good plays.

Ended up 3-3 with it, losing to another sick Warlock deck to drive the nail in. He opened with the 0/1 stealth guy that gives a +1 health bonus every end step, then curved out perfectly to blank all of my removal and buff his dudes just outside of favorable combat trades.

I hate that fucking guy! Even more than the dude in the priest deck that let's you draw a card every time a minion is healed. Now, I'm assuming Stealth is very similar to Shroud? You can't target, but sweepers will hit them. Is that right?

me too, its just the odd interactions. I just lost a match with my area deck to a shaman who nutted the hell out of me. T2'ed the healing totem, then cast 6 straight taunt minions, i couldn't break though.
i wasn't going to win, but it was nice to know the interaction between stealth and mad bomber as i suicide my blood imp into it. "it has stealth so it'll can't get targeted by it!" First shot kills the imp.... "WAT"

Oh man, I had a Faceless Manipulator that I wanted to use to copy his guy but made a different play because I was unsure about that very thing. I wonder if HS has a detailed rules guide that I could dig into instead of "YOLO let's see if this works"

Yeah, its an easy deck. Expect a nerf in the next patch.
How is everyone feeling about a tournament held here in a couple of weeks? Almost everyone is at the same level anyway.

Blizard style swiss. 3 decks, when you lose you change to another deck. When you run out of decks you lose.
There would be trophies as prizes, of course.

There is no limit, I have made it to 20 one game.
Burn the millhouse if you aren't going to use it, he isn't considered that good of a legend, unless you run him with cho, another legend

Had a really good run last night with the Warrior. I'm not playing a rush deck. I'm slowing it down, playing more defense and card draw, and then blowing them out late game. Shield Block is quickly becoming one of my favorite cards in the deck.
Same thing with the Priest. Using Northshire Cleric as a card draw engine, then stalling with smaller taunt minions while setting up for either a Fen Creeper or Lord of the Arena and maxing out their health. Shadow Word: Pain and Death are spectacular for controlling the board.
EDIT: Just realized there is a legendary minion named Gruul. Thought it was funny.

"Armor up" is a popular warrior deck that focuses on lots of removal and good cards like the armorsmith and the spell that deals damage equal to your armor. Its been quite popular but still gets beaten by high end shaman and priest control. I find that it beats almost all aggro pretty easily.
The meta has shifted a lot though, around rank 11 and 10 right now I'm seeing lots of paladin decks, which is fine because paladin generally loses the card advantage game and as long as you keep up decent 2 for 1 trades they run out of steam.

I don't always go on massive winning streaks before hitting 50/50 winrate, but when I do, it's fucking bullshit because I'm stuck at level 10 after crushing fools like I was the nutcracker.

Yeah I'm stuck at 10 right now, can't really be bothered grinding all the way down at the moment, every time I start losing with aggro I switch to control, then I start losing with control I switch back and I just keep grinding back and forth.
I just need to make a new deck I think.
