Alex - weirdly enough, living in Florida I don't hear any southern accents. I don't even have one. Northerners think I'm one of them sometimes.

I grew up in Florida and I don't have an accent either. That's not weird at all. Florida is not the south. Geography isn't everything.

Definitely just won a game by casting domri rade and having my boros reckoners fight each other for the final 6 points of lethal damage.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Also, done with work for the rest of the week! YEAH! Got football camp for the next 3 days. Can't wait! . Its good to re-evaluate some of the new players that need to step up, most of all a new running back and quarterback. The running back we had last year rushed for 2000 yards, so it will be big shoes to fill. My brother is the #1 candidate for the job, (Going to be a Sophomore) and I am very confidant in his ability. Last year we completely trashed the camp, as we were better than all the teams by a good margin (You can do that when you are a state semi-finalist), but this year is another story. We will have a lot of size up front, as our entire front 5 is over 6-0 200lb, and we are going to be anchored by a pair of 4 year starters (one of them being me!). I may seem rambling, but nothing gets me more passionate than football, and I so bad want my senior season to be great. I gotta a lot of things to work for this year,
proving to colleges that i am the real deal, that my all state selection wasn't just a fluke (Lead my team in tackles last year as a DT). Oh the excitement!

Nice, get 'em TH! I was a receiver when I played, unfortunately our QB broke his leg in the first game of my senior year. We switched to an all-run offense because #2 had no arm.

Beast TH. Good luck with the season. Work hard, stay in the gym/books, and stay healthy.

In other news, I think Domain control and Fae are by far the best MM draft archetypes after having drafted MOST everything.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Kinda figured Fae would wreck in draft. Evasive instant creatures are a snazzy deal, even without Bitterblossom.

For real, I haven't streamed since RTR was the only set released in the block.

I guess that's the sort of horseshit that happens when sexy redheads turn your life upside down ;)

I'm liking that Izzet pauper list that has been posted. It's still open to adjustments, but it looks very solid as a tempo deck.

[deck]
Creatures
4 Delver of Secrets
4 Kiln Fiend
4 Nivix Cyclops

Spells
3 Apostle's Blessing
3 Assault Strobe
3 Distortion Strike
4 Gitaxian Probe
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Manamorphose
1 Mutagenic Growth
4 Ponder
4 Preordain

Lands
9 Island
2 Izzet Guildgate
7 Mountain
[/deck]

I also like that it's currently dirt cheap to build.

Dos Rakis is a great deck, especially if you know it like clan FoS does. I must have played at least 200 practice matches with the deck since RTR, maybe 30 on streamed dailies.

Sample Draft deck. Mediocre Storm:

4 Durkwood Baloth
3 Giant Dustwasp
3 Rift Elemental
1 Mogg War Marshal
1 Stinkgscourger

1 Echoing Courage
2 Fury Charm
1 Manamorphse

1 Rift Bolt
1 Empty the Warrens
3 Grapeshot
1 Kodama's Reach
1 Tromp the Domains

8 Forest
8 Mountain
1 Island(value)

Could've added..perilous research or electrolyze, but meh.

Highlights include having durkwood, wasp, and Rift bolt come in on turn 3, Grapehot wrathing opponents board, followed by grapeshot going to the dome and swinging for 9(random rift elemental), then tromp the domains ftw the next turn. Deck would have been SO much better with any decent mana ramp. As such, still 3-0. Kills turn 7-9.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.
