Tubehunter and Hamfactorial were curiously absent the last few days. Nihilist of course continues his spree of uselessness.
Regardless of the flip, scum shortlist:
InflatiblePie
Hamfactorial
Tubehunter
Rednihilist
The flip will affect whom I think is most likely scum of course.
Night 1

That's a lynch!
rezombad (Ephara) (1): RedNihilist
InflatablePie (Heliod) (2): TubeHunter, Void
DroppinSuga (Phenax) (7): zemanjaski, Captain Murphy, hamfactorial, rezombad, Iso, rcwraspy, imopen2 (L-0)
hamfactorial (Kruphix) (1): DroppinSuga
rcwraspy (Purphoros) (1): InflatablePie
Not voting: WitchHunt
The council of gods has decided. Phenax will be lynched. Twilight will last for 24 hours (you may continue to post).
Iroas's great bulk comes crashing down, hooves ablaze, as he sets to attack Phenax, God of Lies and Trickery. Ever the schemer, it's not difficult to see how he might have twisted recent events to his advantage, and Iroas says exactly that while he readies his spear. Karametra, Kruphix and Ephara join in as well, backing Iroas's accusations even as Phenax desperatly tries to show his loyalty to the Pantheon. His gifted tongue is also his curse, however, as Thassa and Purphoros add their votes, disbelieving in his current cries for help as well as his claims of future aid. Nylea nocks an arrow and waits for the word, but Erebos steps forward first, loosing the whip from his belt.
Erebos's ashen face is deadly serious as he says, "See you on the other side, brother," and uncoils his whip. Mastix crackles with dark energy as Erebos raises it above his head and strikes, the lash
coiling around Phenax's throat, intent to drain the life from its victim. Phenax falls to his knees, choking on his silver tongue as his essence is slowly stripped away, revealing the starscape beneath. Eventually, Nyx reclaims him, adding one more constellation to the night sky.
A moment of intense silence hangs over the remaining twelve members of the Pantheon before they turn to the fates expectantly. The fates tell the tale of Phenax, a God of Lies who told the truth...
It is now Night 1. No posting! Day 2 will begin in 72 hours.

Day 2 - Pharika's Curse
Posted: Wed Jan 22, 2014 2:43 pm
by Stardust
Day breaks as Heliod sweeps across the sky, returning to the council to finish this business. His arrival is preceded by Karametra and Kruphix, who together had followed a vision to find Pharika, dead and fading in the woodlands. The vision did not show her killer's face. The eight others arrive as expected, and all watch in silence as Pharika's body dissolves into the starscape.
WitchHunt, God of Potions and Poisons, is dead. The killers must be stopped.
It is now Day 2. With 11 alive, it is 6 to lynch.

What do we make of this? I am not an experienced player, but this suggests to me that Iso is Town.

Its null imo, It could be a town ability (Most protection roles are) but it could be a scum ability and he attempts to gambit it by doing it night one and gaining cred.
Its a null for that reason and I don't think this calls for iso claiming anything because he isn't scummy at this point and giving more info to the mafia is bad.

^^ Agreed with Murphy on this one.

I need to noodle this over. Very interesting lines of thought. I don't necessarily disagree, I just want to think through possibilities.
It's possible that's a red herring, though, since there are likely many possibilities.

I'm not sure what to make of it but I agree it is null. We will probably get a better idea of the scope of whatever effect protected him toMorrow.

I'm not sure why witchhunter was the NK (assuming it was a NK and not a vig). I guess he didnt seem scummy, but I don't remember much of what he posted yesterDay. I'll try to take a look at his posts tonight

you
know what? nvm.
Trying to figure out a NK is just a bunch of WIFOM anyway. Let's just work with what we have. I find it curious, though, that WitchHunt was the only one not voting yesterday.
Imopen2, you hammered and said the game was dragging. Were you convinced of Suga's scumminess or did you just want to get it over with?

Ah, that's right, Wraith went over the deep end flavor gaming. Then I took my vote off him because I thought he was being genuine. And I defended the rolestopper/roleblocker mixup in his claim(s).
The biggest hole that people came up with for what I said about the Mafia Wiki definition is that Wraith never looked it up. To which I say:
As has been explained to you multiple times in the game, a day cop doesn't have the ability to kill another player. And unlike everyone else, you don't seem to realize it was a joke referring to another game.
You're fucking dense.
I just looked it up more indepth. Damn it.
Why did you say that anyway?
He ended up looking stuff up. So are we so certain just based on this?

How about the fact that numerous players told Wraith to stop flavor gaming and he didn't?
How about the fluff that Wraith was posting?
How about the nervous posting that Wraith showed?
And let's not forget the defense that Pie exhibited prior to the end of day lynch:
DON'T LYNCH A FUCKING LIE DETECTOR CLAIM HOOOOLY SHIT
And the mud he flung:
And as a top scum-spect, you really think I'd practically refuse to offer content? Are you guys high?
You tell me, Zem, why shouldn't we be voting Pie at this point?

I'm not willing to be the hammer on this one. I thought Wraith was noob, wanna-do-it-my-own-way, flavor gaming, frustrated town. And Pie hasn't given me a reason to change that read.

@RCW:
Why should we not be voting Pie?
Pretty much exactly what I said in my post above yours. I think that Wraith's meta make his actions before replacement seem like frustrated noob town that wanted to do things his own way. And I don't think Pie has done quite enough to either confirm or deny that read.
I'm not thoroughly convinced of it, but I also believe it well enough to not vote him. If you think he's clearly the best scum target, then go ahead and vote him. I'm not going to try to talk you out of it anymore. I already posted my analysis of his first wagon and my breakdown of his PR claims alongside the Mafia Wiki definition. And further up this page I quoted him
saying he actually HAS done some research, which nullifies arguments against that.
If that's not enough for anybody else to pull their votes, that's fine. But it also means that if he flips town we're analyzing the hell out of this wagon because there will likely be 2-3 scum on it.

I don't know why I still play Mafia here, the townies are fucking dumb.
Lie Detector was fucking confirmable, you don't lynch them because DURR WHAT IF HE'S SCUM WIFOM LOL, you fucking test the claim.
All of you townies should feel bad. That lynch should not have happened.
VLA till Monday, put me out of my misery. Roleblocked Murphy; rcw was my first choice but since he knew I was RB he wouldn't submit the kill. Keep an eye on the people on both wagons.
GJ scum, you must feel great, it's like beating the one-week-in newbie at FNM. Town need to seriously work on their play because it's been abysmal this game.
Not self hammering though.

This isn't the only thing we're looking at, you know. Wraith's behavior was beyond awful yesterDay. Additionally, momentum swung from Wraith on to Suga, who flipped town, which almost always indicates that the wagon prior was a wagon on scum. Once imopen provides his analysis, I'll be performing my own to see how it stacks up and then we'll go from there.
I'm not willing to be the hammer on this one. I thought Wraith was noob, wanna-do-it-my-own-way, flavor gaming, frustrated town. And Pie hasn't given me a reason to change that read.
