So Skullcrack is warranting play due to current meta? Even if I'd like to play it, there are just better cards that should be included. It's like a last resort.

Sounds like it may be the case. Though I personally have trouble getting behind the idea of leaving mana open when I'm running a deck that needs to play threats consistently.

Hold the fuck up.

I just realized the hole in the man's chest in the Dreadbore artwork is the shape of the Rakdos emblem.

Please tell me I'm not the only one that didn't realize this.

So, I guess there's a bomb in my city's post office downtown. The air is amok with sirens and evacuation instructions. I hope I'm far enough away from it. I can't leave my wi-fi. D:

Just got back from casually sharing pizza and drinks with Jon Foster and Lucio Parrillo. We all ended up at a table together with a cool older gentleman who is spending his retirement restoring old art images from magazines (100-year-old images, give or take) that were done by notable artists and originals subsequently lost. This guy has managed through careful image tweaking to get these images up to 16,000 ppi without artifacts...totally nuts. Foster and Parrillo are outstanding, gracious individuals...I'm ready to run off to Italy after hearing Lucio working on Foster to go over and work on a conference with him.

I chatted briefly with Anthony Palumbo at the bar and saw a number of other folks as they rolled in, but I decided to save most of my fanboy behavior from tomorrow when I've actually slept.

A friend of mine out in California always tells me about how when they have small earthquakes, people used to be kind of skeptical if what they felt was real.

Now, he says, he just opens twitter and sees if there are other people freaking out about it on trending tags. Usually if there was an earthquake, the first like, 100+ posts are "WHOA DID YOU GUYS FEEL THAT?"

...so yeah, the internet is good for that, I guess.

So I'm going to have a little time off today and am wondering if I should spend the time doing a 16-man sealed or a couple of 8-man Standard constructed queust. The sealed is four-round swiss for 24 tickets and you get six packs to open. 4-0 gets 13 packs, 3-1 gets 8 packs, and 2-2 gets 3 packs.

Heck, I may even be able to do a Standard event as well. Decisions, decisions.

Honestly I'd go for 8man Standard, as sealed can be a toss up as to if you are going to be playing with an entire pool of people who can make good decks out of bad pulls or make horrible decks out of good pools. There are a few rebuy rares in DGM sealed if you get lucky tho. You'll need to place at 3-1 to make tix or have a good sellable pool. Standard you can make tix a bit easier if you are comfortable with your deck and know how to play to your outs.

I was thinking Standard because I'm so comfortable with my deck now. I've only done sealed once (in paper) and got dealt the worst pool of all time, so part of me wants redemption, but the variance (will I get my money's worth) scares me. I feel more in control with Standard 8-man and it's only a 6-ticket investment.

I just noticed that it requires a fifth land to be of any use. Yeah, it's trash then, as a fourth turn play it would have been interesting.

If it untapped the land instead of giving it a completely worthless ability like Haste, then it would be good.

Maybe...

Went 2-1 at fnm with junk reanimator, losing to gruul aggro, beating mono red and junk midrange.

It's only my second event with the deck and I'm insanely bored of it. The lines of play are so simple. Took out my grixis control and played games with my opponents after each match and it was tons more enjoyable.

Also if Chandra comes with price of progress I'd buy 20 copies.

It was only like.... Last season?

Up till today he's still the only non-garbo red walker ever printed.

Green has all three garruks which were good.

White has fucking-imbalanced-elspeth and Ajani.

Blue has all four powerful Jaces, with one to rule them all.

Black has Lily of the Veil and Sorin markov. Ok black's not that great either, but lily sees extensive play in all formats and has maintained a crazy price tag.

Red has Koth.
