A couple of years ago, all of the regular posters on zemanjaski's RtR-era RDW Primer formed a Clan called the Fires of Salvation. When we encountered stupidity within the majority of the Sally user base (which was often), we would kinda gang up and verbally flog said offending Sally-user with logic bombs in a tough-love sort of way. In the Clan thread, we'd usually start discussing these encounters and make jokes about it, which eventually led to mods regularly patrolling the Clan thread and flagging us. It caused a huge fiasco because we thought we were free to discuss whatever in the Clan thread (we weren't, apparently). Eventually, we got sick of the thought-police and redthirst discovered MTG Community (which was later changed to DtR). We made the exodus shortly thereafter.

It was the biggest mistake of our lives.

About Alex, I'm not going to be too quick to jump on the "talk shit about Alex" bandwagon. We all have our flaws. He and I didn't see things the same way, but I'm not going to hold that against him. We're all products of our environment, and mine was fundamentally different than his.
