Time to shit or get off the pot, then. Vote me or answer me. I have a theory I'm working with and I think you telling me just who you targeted will give me enough info to roll with it.

You say you think I'm town. If you actually have a workable theory, I'd be happy to give you the final piece. But I'm not going to claim no matter how much you want me to without hearing why I'm claiming. Given that you have already claimed, you can't have any more information than I do (unless you're scum, of course). Based on that, I'm guessing your theory is a bunch of speculation that will ultimately lead nowhere. If you paint the picture and it looks good, I'll fill it in for you. But not until then.

Alright, I'll try to spell this out as best as I can.
We've got quite a few claims going around already and a lot of powers used. There are only eight of us.
1. Red disabled Me. Confirmed.
2. I was disabled. Confirmed.
3. Wraith stole Red's ability. Confirmed.
4. Ham hid behind LMD. No reason to disbelieve.
5. You targeted someone.*
6. Some scum player tried to kill someone. (At this point, it could only be LMD, Rez, or Imopen)
If I'm right about this much, we get down to three scum possibilities. Imopen was the first to jump on Kaze so I'm very certain he's not the remaining scum. Rez or LMD remains.
I know you got the power that you requested from Pie and I have a hunch what that power does. I know it's not a role block because that would have been damning information already. I'm hoping like hell that your power targeted one of my two possibilities and it will clear that one. If I'm right, then yes,
claiming who you targeted will reveal something you don't want revealed to someone who will kill you tonight over it. But if I'm right, that could fill in our last piece to figure out who we need to hang today and it's not a problem.

Or hey, if you guys believe me with all of that, we've only got two possibilities. Hang one. I shoot the other tonight. Done deal.

Question: Why would the scum target LMD or rez with a nightkill if they're among the top suspects? You're clearing imopen as town and using that as evidence that he wasn't targeted? I'm sure you can see the logic fail there...

That's not evidence that he wasn't targeted. I said I'm hoping your target was one of my two.

you know what, nevermind.I've got a new plan.I'm sure you would agree that scum is either myself, lmd, or rez. nothing else makes sense right now. Hang LMD. I'll shoot rez, hang me tomorrow if I'm lying.

Now we're getting somewhere.
Let's see... I agree that imopen is town. I believe hamfactorial is neutral (if not a survivor, then a serial killer) and I think I also believe Wraith. Red could be the craftiest scum ever, but no, he's town. I'm pretty sure LMD is town.
That leaves you and rez. You know what? This is actually a good plan. Give me a minute to confirm that I want to do this.

rezmo, now that Wraith is probably not-scum, I want you to share the tell you think you caught.

I was willing to vote kaze just because. But I never went back and ISO'd him.
in current news, we should still lynch wraith:
" You win when there are no threats to the town left alive" not when all mafia-aligned players are dead or whatever bullshit you guys are getting lead to believe, go check your PMs, I'll wait.
Ham's pm is in green, so I'm more inclined to believe that he can win with town
Wraith's PM "is in blue font color" and also has a cult mechanic that I do not enjoy.
Just lynch it.
And no, I'm gonna save the tell because it could be useful later and there's info enough to lynch him now.

let's see;
red disabled decks
wraith sucked red
ham ???
...
wraith 'self-aligned' sucker thingy now disabler
red 'town' disabler now sucker thingy
ham 'self-aligned' hider + 1-shot vig
decks 2-shot vig
right?

Do you remember KNM? That game where you were scum and controlled the flow of the game etc etc?
It was actually my first game of mafia and I remember the way you treated my like your son, then stabbed me in the back.
The way you started the game by casing Kaze (the one who wanted me lynched) then Dechs
(my strongest scum tell) sent some shivers down my spine when doing that reread; luckily, with Kaze flipping scum, the idea of you cuddling me just in order to control me seems really stupid.

I submitted my two choices as Scum/Vigilante because "I want to be able to kill someone at night, so no matter what you chose, I get that."
The role PM said I was "Town Two-Shot Vigilante" in bold green font]/b]. At Night I may kill another player and I can only use it twice.
Wrong target, rezmo-kun.

I don't get my changeling ability back. I am the disabler of abilities now. My alignment is not town, but self aligned which allows me choose a winning dude. So far town had the upper hand. I choose town. In that process, I confirmed 2 people as town, called out a scum or other faction, and created a voting block. Scum don't like that at all. You coming out against me says a lot about your standing in this
game. Scum want confusion and as many questionable characters as possible. Creating a town voting block is the best way to root out the scum. You have contributed much this game at all besides off the wall votes and serious waffling (DK, there you go). I can't tell if you are scared or just drunkish. Pretty sure imopen2 is town based on circumstance.
The questionable pile is the following: stardust, Rez, LMD, and ham (all we know with him is that he had to have lied).
Where do you have their alignments at?

This makes no sense. Why is red not town to you? I hope you meant Rez.
@dk, hams ability is way to good to be true. Thus there is a lie in his claim. More than one self aligned is really weird for this game.

Careful DK, we don't know if stardust is town. He likes to court players and bend them to his will. I am still questioning whether the mod answered his request cause he took forever to respond to me. My message was first, thus how did stardust get his request in so fast. Could be nothing, but it is possible stardust is trying to lead players into tunneling.

Hider with single shot alternate is not that powerful. Hiding is dangerous; he dies if his target is killed. One vig shot gives him the opportunity to influence the game to end before he dies.
More than one self aligned isn't weird at all, I keep trying to explain that. You told Pie "Self Aligned or Serial Killer." So did Ham. By Pie's rules, he must pick one of those two. Having any serial killers would really fuck this game hard, so he went with Self Aligned.

Yeah, we can be sure that Stardust is town. He asked for the extension and was the second vote on Kaze's wagon. It's not a
bus, because the optimal scum play would have been to just Day end. We didn't have any wagons going that could have ended in a lynch fast enough. If Stardust was scum and if he asked for the extension to fool us, he would have still been better to push the wagon of anyone else, namely me. There were enough people willing to lynch me for sure. Especially with Kaze's strong ability, there is absolutely no way he was bussed by Stardust.
Posted: Thu Jul 17, 2014 2:57 pm
by Stardust
Bussing is especially dangerous in a game with a Survivor (now two). Wraith is always suspicious of me and I'm always town, so I'm not too concerned.
The reason I'm considering Red is that he never interacted with Kaze. Kaze was on him like a dog and... nothing. Read back to his Day 1 posts and see for yourself. Though he's been acting town, that struck me as strange. His role is also scummish and is a bit of a foil to my role.
Like, here's the deal. I'm pretty sure Red's town. I'm also pretty sure LMD is town. That leaves just two players. If Dechs is telling the truth, we probably just win when we lynch rez. If we don't, I'd rather we make the better choice of those two. If both miss scum and we lynch Dechs tomorrow, we probably lose the game if Dechs is telling the truth. That's the scenario I'm trying to avoid even though I think it's a pretty slim chance.
By the way, in case I forget to say this
later, if we lynch rez, he flips scum and the game doesn't immediately end, Dechs should shoot ham.

I'm aware of that. He's disabled, which will make it easy to shoot him tonight if Rez flips scum and the game's not over. If the game is
still not over at that point, then we know to hang Wraith.

This whole double-neutral mess is complicated.
Wraith's being a Changeling makes him very neutral, so I don't know why we shouldn't believe him - I find his claim of having yet to decide as to whether play with town or not believable - ham could have pulled off some stunt by early claiming being neutral while being something different, but I wouldn't follow that path for the moment.
Dechs "just lynch me" behaviour is starting to hurt me nearly as much as his Day 1 role hunt, but I feel like we can afford giving his ability a shot.

So here's the deal. Red mentioned or quoted Kaze 13 times total in Day 1. The first 9 of those were before my Kaze case, where Red comments a few times that Kaze is probably town, answers setup-related questions from Kaze, but never engages Kaze in an argument over his own alignment despite Kaze's insistence that Red is scum. At all. There is zero solid interaction between those two, which is super weird because of Kaze's actions towards Red. The last 4 of those mentions were after I made my Kaze case, when Kaze became a suspect to Red, but still solidly number three behind DK and Wraith. Eventually Red ends up voting him, but it's in a way that makes me feel like he really felt the need to contribute something himself (finding that super weak slip). I think a townie would have been more likely to make a naked vote, whereas scum might be more likely to try to
appear townie by scum hunting (even
though that was unnecessary at the time).
Otherwise, does a bit of
neutral hunting,
ducks out now and again (the linked being at an opportune time - right after I case Kaze), roleblocks Dechs (the cop)... I dunno. I had a real hard time pegging him as scum in Fire and Ice, and maybe this is similar. My town read on him here is mainly based on his posting style, but looking at Fire and Ice, that's easily his biggest strength as scum.
As for LMD... Posting as normal, forms
an opinion on Kaze nice and early, I like
this list, [url=http://
diestoremoval.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2762&p=242213#p242213]suggests copping Kaze[/url] (certainly not afraid to interact there)... Not a whole lot to go on (as usual), but I'm pretty sure he's town (as usual).
And for completeness' sake, rezmo... He's actually posted less than LMD - 24 to 27, jumps on me for weird reasons then immediately off and onto Wraith, no questioning of players - just naked votes this game. He's a bit different this game with the lack of questioning, though he's still poking at people for things. He hasn't gone after me in any serious way (which is different - refreshing if he's town). Dunno. He's my only real unknown.
So yeah, of those three,
in the event that Dechs is town (this is still a big if) I'm actually thinking Red is most likely to be scum. However, we also know that he lost his abilities last night. Thanks to that, I'd like to lynch rez today and have Dechs shoot Red tonight (since we know he
can't stop it).
Then again, the idea of a perfect game is tempting so maybe we should hit Red today instead. If Dechs is town, I'm quite sure Red's scum based on his actions, not his words.
rezombad, I think you should claim at this point.

This is an awkward tone to take with someone you're not voting - especially when you're not voting period.
Kaze defending Red, except that Kaze goes on to tally up another strike against Red in the following post. I think he slipped up here.
