A smart Burn player will know to play the control role because it is the only way to beat Affinity, with the small exception being the OOPS ALL BOLTS! hand (which is actually rare). However, Burn has its advantages in postboard when it gets to bring in Searing Blood and Smash and whatever else. You have to have a certain hand to beat burn because they just 1-for-1 you until you're out of gas. You can't keep normal hands, it has to be mega-aggro. They run out of gas too but sometimes if they just play control and kill your guys while hitting you with a Goblin Guide you just lose like that and it sucks. In all super seriousness, what is giving you problems? Affinity is actually tough for me for several reasons. When I have a hand consisting of Forked Bolt, Searing BXXXX, and Grim Lavamncer, it is sometimes easy. Postboard, (when I was playing it) Firedancer just won me games I had no business winning.I feel exactly the opposite about the burn vs. affinity matchup. I lose that matchup every time. I've been testing for two weeks against random MODO daily winning decks and burn is hard as shit to beat. Everything else feels up in the air.
On the other hand, I've been beaten silly by the intial turn 1-2 hand-dump followed by an Ensoul or Plating and could never recover. At times, Affinity can race far better than Burn can. ESPECIALLY when Ravager is involved.
On the flip side they literally can't beat an Ensoul'd Vault Skirge. So it just depends.
I like the Mana Leak build better because it's better against decks that matter more. I'll play Delver and Ascendancy way more than I'll play burn at a tournament, unless this Treasure Cruise build catches on I guess.
Another terrible and humorless cartoon from Cardboard Crack? No thank you.
The author of this post repeats "get it?" in an annoying fashion to demonstrate how nonsubtle and tactless the 'humor' in the quoted post was.GET IT?
BECAUSE WHEN YOU GET DRUNK, SOMETIMES YOU DO STUPID THINGS, AND THEN WAKE UP NOT REMEMBERING THEM.
BUT SOMETIMES THERE IS EVIDENCE OF YOUR ACTIONS FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE, AND YOU'RE CONFUSED BECAUSE, AGAIN, YOU DON'T REMEMBER THE PREVIOUS NIGHT.
IT WAS THE BASIS OF THE MOVIE SERIES "THE HANGOVER" STARRING BRADLY COOPER, ED HELMS, AND ZACH GALIFIANAKIS.
BUT SINCE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT A MAGIC PLAYER, HE WOULD HAVE BOUGHT RARE AND EXPENSIVE MAGIC CARDS WHEN DRUNK.
GET IT?
I thought about making a t-shirt back in the days of the RtR pre-release with a close up of Niv-Mizzet's head with the following text:
Hello. Izzet me you're looking for?
Too cheesy?
Alex, Khaos.
Get a room.
Fuck that guy. There is nothing good about who he is or what he does.Like, I don't find Jeff Dunham funny at all, and often times I do think "I don't understand how anyone can find him funny."
I based all my Hearthstone deck names after the substitute teacher sketch. I call my paladin "A A Ron Balakay".Tosh.0, not funny.
Key and Peele, funny.
And not in the funny way like Ham.
It would be funny if you didn't hear the same jokes whenever you play Magic. It's really just whatever talk you'd expect to be thrown around a game store that week, but rather than hearing it through people you know, you get stick figures.Yeah Cardboard Crack is bad, but to be fair to the guy, he's come a long way from the beginning. He's said a few times that he isn't funny naturally, he's learning. I can respect that.I like the first part of Tosh.0, but the skits are pretty bad.
The point is that Cardboard Crack isn't even comedy. Most of the time, there is no joke at all. At best, there's a setup with no punch line.
We already said it. UGMadness. The old site even went up again a few years ago so you can browse the archives. So Izzet puns are bad, and Cardboard Crack is crap...what is funny then? Please don't say Adam Sandler...
You like skyrim, you're about as useful as a vivisected rabbitYou think Cardboard Crack is funny, your opinion on everything is null and void.
Well, the PMO ones from goodgamery are decent too.I think we've established that the problem is there are 0 funny magic webcomics
So Izzet puns are bad, and Cardboard Crack is crap...what is funny then? Please don't say Adam Sandler...
Nope, try againSo Izzet puns are bad, and Cardboard Crack is crap...what is funny then? Please don't say Adam Sandler...
Those weren't that bad.Go read http://www.5colorcontrol.com/noshyfts/, you'll find Cardboard Crack very funny.
My thinking was that you probably didn't wannt welder and chalice together in the main. When you side in chalice / trinisphere, you side out one drops. I could be completely wrong with this kind of thinking though.I think that you really want Chalice in the main deck as well as perhaps Trinisphere. Turn 1 Chalice is a beating against quite a few decks. I am not convinced that you need 4 Wurmcoil Engines. Most of the MUD decks also have a Cloudpost package but that might not be possible since you need red mana. Blood Moon can probably go to the sideboard given the number of basic lands I have seen in recent weeks. I don't know if you need the Top but that is a hard card to argue against in any deck.
Has mountains, looks bad on paper and plays worse, has no good matchups, yep, it's an FOS deckPeople who play a lot of legacy, feedback on this list? Pretty please?
