Do you cast the second Mantis Rider?

I see no need to walk into a Bile Blight when you have that much of a presence on the field already. Also allows you to hold up Stoke and kill the inevitable Courser.

I ended up not casting it. He had an abzan charm, won pretty easy from there.

what game is it? if game one then you cast it, most good abzan lists don't mainboard bile blight

Not casting it is fine too based on your hand

It was game 1. I figured he would have had at most 2 Bile Blights main

No need to cast it. Attack, he charms your first one. Just cast the second after. Force him to answer your threats during his turn.

Constellation or Reanimator?

Neither. lol

The reanimator deck sucks. The G/B constellation deck and the Sidisi whip deck are the good ones and they have the best matchup spread by a lot. Worth noting, a friend of mine says the constellation deck beats sidisi straight up, but says the Sidisi deck has merits solely based on access to disdainful stroke in the board.
UB control is like, the best meta deck since it beats most of the top tier midrange decks and has winnable matchups vs. the heroic and jeskai decks, but it's very underpowered and just loses to randomness.
Mardu, Abzan, and Jeskai combo are all fine and UW heroic is pretty good.

Yeah GB Constellation feels like the best deck. I don't like jeskai at all but do like UW heroic.

GB Constellation sucks to play against.

The jeskai burn deck is perpetually poorly positioned, but the jeskai agro decks with jeskai ascendancy are actually very good since they can win from so many different board states.

I'm on Jeskai Heroic Combo and GBx currently. I'm not certain if Sidisi Whip is better or worse than GB Constellation. Waiting for input from Zem (I've been creeping on /r/spikes).

The whip deck has more velocity. You play sidisi on turn 3 or 4 and that can be your gameplan. When you snowball, you snowball hard and quickly.
The GB deck is much more grindy playing slow do nothings like commune and eidolon of car draw that let you grind out matchups. The deck doesn't really have a fast draw that can punish anybody, but it's much better anytime you need to go long since it has more raw card drawing power and actual card filtering.
The mana's also better, in the GB deck which is worth noting.

Anyone on the west coast(or anywhere really) going to cardmageddon in Vegas next month?
Pretty sure I'm gonna be there ready to gamble my life away.

What LP said. I really, really like the GB deck. I feel that if I'm on green creatures you know something's up!

Well, it's not the best deck in the format (obviously, since it doesn't play Treasure Cruise), and if it ever becomes the best deck, something is getting banned. However, people build it because they honestly love playing that style of Magic, which is really the reason we spend money on hobbies in the first place.
It also transitions nicely into a top-tier vintage deck after changing only a few cards, allowing you to participate in 10-proxy tournaments (since it's pretty much impossible to run a local no-proxy tournament).

Oh that comment was just about building mud in general. I did not realize that you were planning on adding one of the sweetest cards in Magic to the deck. Go for it, bro.

I can't help but feel I want to play something with Sultai Charm. I think it's very, very, very well positioned right now. I'm looking into Sidisi Whip as an option.

And this is why my deck works in it.

All decks that feature a high curve with a manabase of ancient tomb and city of traitors (sol lands) can randomly lose to variance. You don't get to play brainstorm, force of will, treasure cruise. If you want a very competitive deck i would not recommend building mud.
However, i always avoid playing blue in legacy because i hate that the format is almost 100% blue decks... mud is one of the few decks that can somewhat compete with blue alongside elves , painter, death and taxes .... if you like the deck, just go for it.

With deretti it seems interesting, I like the idea of turning my grim monolith into a wurmcoil engine or lodestone golem

There are 2 different types of mud , one with daretti and goblin welder that needs some mountains / great furnaces in the manabase, the other one with all colorless spells that gets to play cloudpost and glimmerpost so that it can consistently hardcast bombs when is not able to cheat them into play with forgemaster or metalworker. Both types now play 3/4 copies of cavern of souls because, like we were saying, you have to beat blue one way or another.

GB Constellation > Sidisi.
Don't know about GB vs Abzan; both have strengths.
