Nice, dude. Congrats on that. Here's hoping you do well.Serenity Games, one of the stores I play at, is sponsoring me tomorrow for GP Orlando. All I have to do is wear a black polo, which says Serenity Games on the left breast and underneath the logo (which is a silhouette of River holding the swords from the Serenity movie poster) it says "Aiming to misbehave," for the weekend. For that I get my entry paid and all the sleeves and cards I'll need to use for...well, whenever. Also, unlimited free entries into FNMs at the store (which I'll undoubtedly x-2!).
I definitely plan on wearing it to whichever strip club I end up at Saturday night.
Fuck you and the green you ramped in on. - My EDH battle cry. If I had one.

Thanks, Dechs. I'll probably scrump out in the main event because I'm not very good at limited. In fact, I probably should've spent this last week asking people like Kait, LP, and Zem for advice on limited strategies and Khans sealed.
It's an 8xmultiplier on PW points, so I'll try to stick it out for as long as I can and play my best, but I do have my other decks at the ready for side events.

In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.

Follow your fixing. Playing anywhere from 2-5 colors is fine, as long as it's dictated by your pool.
Try to study all the morphs. I don't think anything leads to a blowout before 5 mana as far as trading goes, so that's notworthy.
I think I heard this from PSully, but it makes sense: when your opponent plays a morph, the first one they play is probably second best and the second one they play will be the better morph creature since you'd generally not want to risk getting your best dude killed early for no value.
Evasion be it flying, trample, whatever is at a premium because of all the board stalls that happen.
Going second in general seems MUCH BETTER then going first in this format. Gotta hit those land land drops. Speaking of land, the exact numbers between land and banners, I'm personally unsure of, but I'd play no less then 17, and up to 21 sources of mana between lands and rocks depending on my curve, and 90% of the time, I want to be in the 18/19 land range.
Remember to sideboard. Sideboarding in limited isn't just bringing in plummets. It's boarding out your 2/2s when they're deck is all 2/3s, and boarding out lands on the draw when you know games are gonna go super long to prevent flooding.
In general, I'm not a fan of agro in sealed, but Mardu has some sweet cards, and depending on your pool, know that pulling the trigger on the aggressive deck can be the right choice sometimes.

You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.
Beatdown is hard, though.

I'll most likely play in some GPT's tomorrow to get a feel for Khans limited. It couldn't hurt. But they do have a $20 Modern event that I have my eye on at 4 pm....

I'm in a seedy bar in Orlando pounding rum and cokes, getting ready to part with 2 edh decks to raise some serious funds
I was starting to feel sad about doing this until I realized my mana crypts were at $175 each
Fuck EDH

I think it is much different than Boros Burn. Boros Burn was a lot better deck, and at the time you really had to dedicate some SB slots to it to really improve a matchup against Burn. My issue with tempo: Rabblemaster is really not that great in this deck, because often times it will be the only creature on the board. I think it is MUCH easier to SB hate for the tempo deck compared to Boros Burn. People locally are running Feed the Clan/Bow and 3-4 Arbor Colossus. The current format just also has an absurb amount of lifegain. Tempo is much weaker to Thoughtseize (lilliana, despise) than Boros Burn. Also, the mana base isn't BAD, but it causes you to keep really akward hands due to the fact this deck is much weaker on a mulligan than boros burn was.You think its that different than the old boros burn?Word. So I have a feeling that we are getting Ghostfire later in this block, does it have any play in standard when and if it shows?

thanks to nbw for the sig.
You do need to try to gay it up a little more.
You're like the least gay member of this clan.
And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.

If red decks are missing a 3 damage burn spell, Ghostfire may play a role, but it's awfully expensive unless there is a cycle of good creatures with protection in the 2nd set.So I have a feeling that we are getting Ghostfire later in this block, does it have any play in standard when and if it shows?

Shootings happen at those clubs and, when they do, Security generally shoots back... don't really know what you find so hilarious about that.i was referring to the hilarious time redthirst said his bouncing duties included gun fights with gang members

I'm flattered you remembered, though, and could be bothered to take the time out of your busy schedule of doing more for this site than anyone to spurn me... especially tonight of all nights when you've got to go get ready to be a card shop hero. I hope this diversion doesn't cause you to go X-2 at FNM and lose the respect of your fellow scrumpers.
