I saw the new Iron Man the other day. I was pretty disappointed, but overall it was still entertaining. The storyline very much resembles Dark Knight Rises.
In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.
I rarely skip a Khaospawn wall of text because I know there is always piss at the end of the rainbow.

Reports of inexplicable female dampness areGood luck today, Windstrider. Hopefully if your daughter does have to show up it's over quickly. I imagine in a custody hearing if the child is visibly terrified of one of the parents it's a pretty big clue. At least I'd hope it would be.
I had an interesting night last night. I attribute it to being on day 11 of the Ham Challenge.
So as I've mentioned, I've been accepted into a graduate program for a combo JD/MBA degree. Last night there was a mixer for the MBA students.
This was the first time I've ever noticed all the attractive women's eyes following me wherever I went in the room. Seriously. I could have trolled that place for so much pussy last night.
I spoke to the dean who asked me what year I'm headed in to. I said first. She said "
oh, you don't need to be here, JD/MBA students don't take their first MBA class until the 2nd or 3rd year." Ok... but you invited me? I had shit to do so I started to leave.
I grab my coat from the closet and all of a sudden I hear...
"Oh, you're leaving so soon?"
"Unfortunately yes." Then I turned to look at who said that. OMFG. Literally the most beautiful woman I've ever come face to face with. Redheaded, or maybe brunette died red, I couldn't tell. Light blue eyes. Banging body in a little black dress.
"But I could be persuaded otherwise" I said with a smile. I can't believe I said that shit. I'm married.
"Oh?" she says, stepping closer, looking up at me, and cocking an eyebrow.
It was at this point that my wife's face flashed in my mind, and I politely excused myself and left.
I can't help thinking that I made both the best and worst decision of my life.
common after a few weeks of ham challenging. I think I speak for us all when I say "get 'em"

I post on sally talking about Jund/Junk sometimes and to troll idiots occasionally. Apparently I got reported, but didn't haven't received any flame warnings. Maybe the mods actually agree that the aforementioned idiots are indeed...idiots?
@Windstrider, hope everything goes well. I can't imagine having to go through and of the shit that you are. Best wishes.

Went 2-1 at FNM with my Bant Babies deck. Beat Jund and UWR, lost to Dark Naya. I couldn't draw my only answer to blood baron both games - supreme verdict.

When you put it that way, I will definitely be watching myself. Good thing the park the reception is at is "no alcohol permitted." Don't need that kind of temptation.@Kaze - belated best wishes to you regarding the pending nuptials, good sir. Just remember that for all the pomp and bluster, the wedding is just one day in your life. Relax as best you can, and take every opportunity throughout the day to make your bride feel like she's queen of the world. Wives either look back at their wedding fondly or as ammunition for arguments for years to come...make your every choice through the day accordingly.
Thank you kindly, good sir.

Yep. My hope for him is that his ex take the path mine has--lacking the commitment to even take advantage of the visitation she's granted. In my case I actually wish my ex would get clean and take some interest in our kids beyond trying to use their love like another
drug she can "fix" with, but if not, I'll be glad to see her stay away. My kids told me the other day that Mother's Day doesn't exist for them because they don't have a mom right now...ouch.

@SM - Dan didn't elaborate in the text he sent me, though I know she would not have been prevented from attending the custody hearing (right to fair trial and all that stuff). I'm guessing she chose not to show as that's thing kind of thing that borderlines do to avoid having to face any 3rd-party evidence of their wrongdoing.
Sam Black posted an interesting deck concept in an article on SCG--Dega vamps. I had been playing with this since the Baron was spoiled and intend to try tweaking it up. I know from trying it in RTR Standard that it's weak to Reanimator...just about the time that you're getting up a head of steam, AoS comes down and screws your day. Baron will help with that issue, but I still think the sideboard will need stronger options for dealing with them. I considered Slaughter Games, but the deck has an aggro game plan and would rather cast Keeper or Aristocrat T4. He also includes nothing for dealing
with Bant Enchantments/Hexproof, so my thinking is that Tribute belongs in the 75. I also think Sin Collector makes sense in the side, as might Ghost Dad. I'm not sold on Sire in this particular list, but I'll have to see.

My life has shaped up in such a way that unless my ex wife is in town, I just don't actively pursue women anymore. I can't figure out what's more likely: I've been robbed of my interest due to the insane women who followed her, or I'm still stupidly in love with her. (Or more precisely, in love with her body.)You're a man after my own heart, Alex. At the inevitable FoS meet up / bar crawl, everyone knows which women we'll be going for.
Hopefully she gives up on the whole Disney thing soon.

Glad to hear WS got good news on the crazy bitch ex front.
I'll be playing a bant flashish deck tonight. This is kind of hasty since I had my heart set on bant delver but early testing had it way too fucking unreliable. My list right now is just basically prime speaker bant with PSZ and AoS replaced with Wurms. And I cut a land down for a dissipate so now I have 3 counters in the deck. Just enough to make people respect it. I like the minimal testing so far. Maybe next week I'll get on a more traditional bant flash list with augors and snappy's but I figured bant flash should still have swagtusks to blink. Now that my curve is down I wonder if I can get rid of the farseeks. Again, probably just need to go to a regular bant flash deck next week.
Also there is a scg IQ on Saturday. Not sure if I can go. My little pet bant flash deck is all I would have time to take. Not sure if it would be worth it. It's probably a deck
that can roflstomp FNM in its current form but probably not T1. Then again I hear these things are basically glorified FNM's to begin with.

Thank you everyone!Very good news! Was she not there because she's locked up? Or did she just not care to be there?Hey guys--just heard from windstrider.
Obvious quick decision rendered...in and out before lunch. WS has sole legal and physical custody of his daughter, and his ex gets 1 hour per week supervised visitation. His ex was not in attendance at the proceeding...
She's still in county lockup. Unlike the hearings to obtain the protection order, her presence was not required. The judge could have compelled her to attend, however.
According to my lawyer, when he asked about her being present, the judge responded that "she can bond herself out if she wants to attend." It sounds like my ex is making quite a name for herself in the Clay County judicial system. As my lawyer noted, they all know what she did.
In addition to sole legal and physical custody, the one hour visitation does not begin until after she is released from jail. The only contact she is to have with our daughter is through letters, of which she has written several. There is a concern that she would try to influence our daughter's testimony in the criminal proceedings against her. The supervised visitation is to take place through a local service that she would have to pay for. I was also awarded child support retroactive to March of this year, which is to be paid through the state, and I'm entitled to the Social Security Disability payments she
was receiving for our daughter.
My lawyer entered all of our evidence against her into the official court documentation, which means it can be used against her in her criminal proceedings, which are to begin later this month on the 29th.
On top of all that, the Guardian ad Litem waived any additional fees in lieu of the $1000 I had already paid to her that both of us were ordered to pay. The judge could have assigned half of those missing fees to me. That was a very generous gesture on her part to waive those fees.
I feel like an immense weight has been lifted off of me, and I want to thank the members of this clan for their support.
