So my LGS is doing a special format called Build-Your-Own-Block (name pending). The rules:

- Choose three sets. One large, two small. Large sets are any sets with more than 200 cards.
- All three sets can not be from the same block (ie: You can not chose both Return to Ravnica with Gatecrash, Zendikar with Worldwake, etc)
- Build a constructed deck out of the three set block you created.
- Legacy banlist.

I'm trying to put together the best possible aggro deck and so far I'm thinking going BR Zombies using Dark Ascension for the small set, but that's as far as I've gotten. Any ideas for my large set and my second small set? I'm thinking M10 for cards like Lightning Bolt, Doom Blade and Black Knight for my large set so far.

You probably want Mirrodin Besieged for Phyrexian Crusader, and Theros for Grey Merchant and just go mono black zombies, that way you also have the Devotion mechanic working for you as a secondary win condition.

I realize Phyrexian Crusader does infect damage, but it's stupidly hard for most decks to deal with properly. You also might consider New Phyrexia instead of Mirrodin Besieged for things like Dismember, Lashwrithe, Phyrexian Obliterator, [card]Geth's Verdict[/card], and Vault Skirge.

You also get Batterskull, Act of Aggression, Spellskite, Sword of War and Peace, and Torpor Orb as well. >_>

Theros and NP actually sounds like a good idea. With Theros I have Hero's Downfall and Thoughtseize also, while NP is just a mountain of value in black.

What sets/blocks have some decent zombies besides Innistrad?

Dark Ascension has the most I think. Gravecrawler being the best one by a mile.

I played a little of BYOB (build your own block) and I played Delver in that, so I used Innistrad, New Phyrexia and 9th Edition. Innistrad for Delver of Secrets, Spectral Flight, and Dissipate, New Phyrexia for Dismember, [card]Apostle's Blessing[/card] and Sword of War and Peace, and 9th Edition for Mana Leak, Boomerang, and Blood Moon. :)

I know, like I said I was using DA as my base. Gravecrawler, Geralf's Messenger, Tragic Slip, and top with Falkenrath.

I wanted to do Delver but it seems like a lot of people have the same idea.

If you expect a lot of Delver you probably want to be playing some kind of skies deck. Lots of flying creatures.

Just pick something you're going to enjoy playing and play it. Burn is actually a pretty good archetype against Delver and you actually can access all of the best burn spells, so you might just want to do that and see how you like it. You can get Lightning Bolt easily, if you pick Modern Masters you get Lightning Helix, Rift Bolt, AND Figure of Destiny, and that kind of leaves you with one set to play around with.

You might still want to go with New Phyrexia for Shrine of Burning Rage and Whipflare.

I would just combine Return to Ravnica with Worldwake and create an unstoppable UW Control / Blade list.
