Don't take that as an insult, it's not intended as one.

Code Geass is fine, but it lacks depth and the characters are very uninspiring. There's little depth and almost no rewatch value. It's fine for absent minded viewing, but offers no meaningful reflection on the human condition, and sub themes of that.

Eva is pretty much the opposite AND Eva are cooler than knights.

Evangelion was likely the worst anime I've ever watched, hands down. I enjoyed the shitshow that was Inuyasha more than it, and that should tell you something.

Character depth is great but I don't want a fucking life story, and I certainly want to feel like it's going somewhere, which it never did.

Plus the ending really was the reason I stopped watching anime for a LONG time. It was horribly uninspired.
