I'm ok as long as you guys don't start with Jewish jokes.

My great grandfather died in one of the concentration camps.

And yet red decks are still horrible in eternal formats
You can dislike the guy (but can you really? He has the voice of an Angel), but his argument is sound. Be at peace with playing a tier 2 deck; eternal formats are so open that familiarity and experience count for more than strict power level anyway, esoecially modern.

I went to Karaoke night while I was hanging out in Japan... some lady sang the opening theme to Evangelion.

I could almost sing along.

But really, any Evangelion is too much Evangelion.

I want those hours of my life back.

I Can't stand burn in legacy, but it's actually putting up results now so it's a decent budget option.

My experience is the opposite; thre are like 10 playable archetypes in modern; in legacy I think there are about the same, which given the pool of available cards, suggests a less open format IMO. It's not really worth debating though, the point is that you can play whatever you like as long as you play it well and your deck is constructed thoughtfully.

This isn't standard where bads will tell you gr is competitive.

I know the opening to Evangelion and Elfen lied. I'm a very happy, well adjusted person.

I'll be the first to admit that Burn, RDW, Goblins, and every other variation of a Mountain deck is tier 2. But I love listening to the people that are so adamant about making sure everyone knows how bad those decks really are. And by the same right, I also enjoy listening to the diehards defend those decks to the bitter end.

I know what I want and I play what my heart tells me to play. I don't give a fuck what people have to say about it. Call my deck "bad." It will only make your defeat taste more bitter.

Besides, the more people that are "convinced" that R/x decks are bad, the easier it is for me to steal wins. I need people like Madding telling the world how bad this shit is.

Indeed, it just seems like Muricans got rid of all their eternal staples like 4-5 years ago, and all those cards got shipped to the EU (it helped the Euro was at an all time high at the time).

Case in point, I used to buy eternal staples from the US a long time ago, but ever since I've found out the magiccardmarket has much better choices. Haven't used ebay once in the last 4 years

Sucks to be in the market for eternal cards in the us really, your forced into eBay, or stores, something like mcm (to my knowledge) does not exist in the us, guy I know tried but him and his partner had a falling out so it never got far
