Resolute Archangel
Magic 2015

Creature - Angel

When Resolute Angel enters the battlefield, if your life total is lower than your starting life total, it becomes equal to your starting life total.

How annoying.

Its not "good" but I hate it when they specifically word things, to be non interactive.
It opens the design space to bullshit. Its basically, a thing that works around anti-lifegain defense. Brining it back (because every so often we get a "Set your life to X") is just annoying.
I'd just rather thing like that not exist.

If a traditional ramp or rock deck becomes good, it will be worth the price of admission

Well, not really, but it will be really sweet

Free M15 prereleases on MODO for everyone? WOTC is getting desperate to convince people to play after the v3 phase-out.

Posted: Wed Jul 02, 2014 6:41 pm

they should be desperate

Yo madding, drafto next week?
If madding is too mad, i wouldn't mind. As long as it's a format I'm familiar with.

Forgive my MODO noobness, but why is EV so low right now?

Also, what program you you guys use to stream?

When you win on MODO, you get packs as rewards. Grinders sell these to bots who sell them to drafters which helps keep the supply flood in check. However, all the drafters are playing Vintage Masters until it closes up today which mean the standard pack supply has flooded so the prices have tanked.

I think I'll get in on that M15 prerelease. Could use some free swag. I never minded the Beta client except for the part about being able to split up stacks by name for sideboarding sucks.

What do we have to do to get in on the prerelease?

Well, it ain't gonna suck itself.

Have an account and have participated in an event since today. That's it.

Looking at this as the glass being half full, THS block draft and sealed events are super cheap right now.

Do new player events count?

Does it ever make sense to open prize packs, or should you always trade them?

Do new player events count?
Probably. I've always been told never open packs. Main reason is like real life, the cards sell for less to bots than their full value and trying to trade on MODO is, for me at least, kind of annoying.

I'm not much one for giant monstering it up but.... phototitan is really pleasing for some reason.
The johnnymagic part of me wants to just sac him over and over again for fun and profit! :)

No...no... not gonna happen though.

The only reason you should be opening prize packs is if you've used them for your next draft.

I wonder about that. If only Blasphemous Acts is still around.

Anyway, I tried to log into MTGO, but apparently my ver 3.0 is cooked. So I have to make use of the ugly beta client now?

I'm curious, how many of you paper players are at the point where the hobby pays for itself?

In Sydney Australia when I use too play FNM we had solid EV making it possible to go inf such as $10-$15 buy-ins for standard or modern with $100/$150 for 1st place, do you guys have anything similar?

I know from our small online team we have at LEAST 5 people on inf/profit.

Very, very, very infinite.

You should be playing paper too, nsw is absurdly weak compared to vic.

Can't do it up here. Very few cash prizes and nobody to buy your packs.
