I thought Batman Begins was just a Fantastic Film.
Also, thinking I might play Jund Monsters as SCG Vegas later this month.
I really want to jam Rakdos's Return and it's not castable in Devotion red.
No, Rakdos Devotion is not a viable deck.

Had the worst testing session with devotion red last night, don't want to play burn, my friends won't let me play control(they're good friends) and I don't feel like being the 12th best Black devotion player in a tourney, so Jund it is.LP liking Jund Monsters I see. We have something in common, you and I.
Decks powerful, fairly consistent, and the sideboarding is fairly intuitive to me.
Plus, Rakdos's Return.
I also saw something that said it's the top performing deck over the last month which isn't really surprising and it's nice in that as a jund deck, you can't really hate it out.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Possibly because red devotion isn't remotely playable.
Jund and Burn are both reasonable meta choices; I just hate playing a green creature deck in a format where MBC is the most prominent deck. Sure, you don't just auto lose to a competent player like you would with gr, but it's very rough still.

I always felt the Mono-Black deck was the reason you played Jund Monsters >_>
You overload their removal with threats, and game 2, you get to board out rampager and it's gravy.
I guess another reason why I didn't like the videos(or most vids) is because everyone sideboards so terribly. That's not really a major critique since often it's the persons first time playing with X deck but it does detract from the viewing experience somewhat.
And Devotion Reds still playable. The worst of I've ever done with the deck in a tournament is 11th place at a PTQ. The only real problem is that you have to be a maniac to play it well.
Some would say a fanatic. If I may stretch an analogy, it's akin to TES in Legacy. It looks like a deck you've played before(ANT) but it's both much more powerful, and much more fragile requiring a radically different playstyle that doesn't translate cleanly.
Having said that,
playable doesn't mean I'd recommend anyone play it. It's definitely not tier 1, and you'll win a non-irrelevant number of games by your opponents playing poorly against your psuedo-fringe deck. I may even play it this weekend at my 1k if I figure out a new board plan I like. Last time i played it was good enough for third place

When I'm actually interested in playing something, I tend to have a lot to say about it.
I could write you books on:
Modern Jund
Modern RDW
Standard Devotion Red
and Standard Jund Monsters right now as I've been balls deep in those archetypes the last week or so.
I also like the BW variants in modern a lot and the same goes for the RB aggro deck pedros helped me develop, but those are on the back burner as I feel the other 4 decks are much more likely to lead me to tourney wins.

Agreed.I wanted I say I've been loving your contribution too the Modern RDW thread LP - keep it up
Great contributions with the benefit of myself not having to contribute anything.
In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.
I rarely skip a Khaospawn wall of text because I know there is always piss at the end of the rainbow.

Is Jund Monsters better than Big Naya that won last SCGOpen? That deck looks promising. When I'm actually interested in playing something, I tend to have a lot to say about it.
