We were talking about this the other day, and I found this artwork on the internet. According to MaRo's Tumblr, sometimes they will use a piece of art to tell the story but that art doesn't make it into the set because it'd be a huge spoiler.



As an aside, when he talked about the art, he didn't say "killing Elspeth", he said "sending her to the Underworld". So she could be back.


And then I found this. I don't know how thematically appropriate it'd be to feature Heliod on a black card, but I could live with this as a promo.

It is for me once he fills it out with 2 Grim Lavamancers like planned. Those are all extra shocks I have and I need the 4 Vents. The Wurmcoil is just for my Sydri deck, but it's a card I don't own and would like to have.

I'm just saying that value-wise you lost out quite a bit. Coursers have more than doubled in value and will only continue to go up throughout the year.

Oh well. I was given one and the other came out of a pack. I'm not going to worry too much about it.

I'm in favor of trading away cards that I don't/won't play for cards that I'll play. A playset of Steam Vents that let you win a few Modern tournaments are more valuable than shocks in a binder at home.

@DocLawless - That would be a cool promo card. It's incredibly flavorful. Better than a dude being stomped on. I think the fact it depicts 2 white characters in white would make it a no go. They're pretty consistent with the color schemes.

Yeah, I might even build Sydri now, this thread has made the deck a lot more interesting to me. I probably ignored it at first, but now that I've seen some of the cards for it, I might just slap it together.

I'm glad we did this, it's an awesome exercise.
