Interesting... I will probably just maintain my primers here just because they have some history and have been here for a while. There's lots of discussions and I believe that they'll still be useful if I'm still able to edit and maintain them. That being said, the staff here at MTGSalvation have made the experience and forums an amazing place and their dedication deserves way more merit and credit than can be given. I hope that, once MTGNexus is up and running, an announcement can be made and thus be able to create an account there (and hopefully no one takes my username :laugh2: ). It won't be easy juggling between being active in two different sites, but I will probably only be attentive here to my primers. If the exodus towards MTGNexus is a certain thing, then I will join that immigration.

In that regard, and with the impending "it'll soon be lost forever" I have reopened the gutter to read-only access to those who still have unbanned accounts. If you have an unbanned account, please PM me on MTGS if your gutter access is lost. You have 39 days to save anything important to you before it's lost to the void.

Well, thanks for the generous offer, its not like I didn't make a small wget script back when I was originally banned to download the most relevant html parts of the gutter, using pinkfloyd's account for a whole month.

Almost no one who was on staff at that time is staff now, many not even active on site, and definitely not the admins who promised such back then. So I'm not even sure who you're trying to insult when you say "you guys". If you mean me, I was on sabbatical during then, and - funny enough - the only places I ever really visited during those couple years was the gutter and forum games.

Regardless, no one on site staff has access to the sql servers.
The only thing I can do with the access I have is reopen the gutter, so that's what I did.

Sure, let me be more specific. By "you guys" I mean iridium.

You see, when you are part of an organization, you are bound by its past commitments, even if you were not part of the team that originally made them.

This is for example why new administrations for any company are still bound by promises/contracts/agreements the previous administration has made (if they disagree with any of it, they may obviously not accept administrative positions in the first place).

This is also why representatives of modern governments sometimes present apologies for past transgressions (think past genocides, mistreatment of native populations, etc...), even though these officials were obviously not involved in these past transgressions.

Therefore, as a prominent staff of MTGS, "you guys", while not explicitly aimed at you, remains a befitting moniker as far as you are concerned.
