I don't know what you guys did to piss the iridium so much, but it must have been something really harsh. Like, banning someone just for making a getting back in touch post?
Just because he mentions the gutter? wow.
I glanced upon some huge walls of text in CI but I really had no patience to read all of that, now all this debacle has left me really curious.

Now you'll have to make a gimmick to read it all! They are secretly promoting the use of gimmicks to artificially inflate their member statistics!

It's the only way to convince their Curse overlords that their userbase isn't actually eroding (which numbers show that it is).

The switch to Curse pissed off a lot of people. Changing something as basic as the layout of the website will turn a lot of people off just by itself.

I stopped making gimmicks once they moved to the new site, when it got more open than goatse. Now I just browse with the "internet_archivist" account. In case they delete it, I know I can ust make another one in <1 min, I don't even have to give a real email. Not that I have needed to do this, I've been browsing CI on the open for months there.
