Ok, so far I am kinda dissapointed wth the RW god, but pretty excited about RU. Not that he he all the rage, but he just seems like value machine.
Will we have a resurgence of UWR?

Is it safe to feel sorry for people who went nuts over
Tarnished Citadel for legacy/foils, or is not always having to take 1 still better than taking 3 every time you need colored mana?
Cool on aggro that now they have 8 lands that don't etb tapped and produce both of their colors for Standard.
The only format I don't see it impacting is Modern since the only decks playing 4+ colors generally abuse the basic land types on shock lands. I guess this opens up the doors a peek for decks that don't do that, but having no interaction with fetch lands is a pretty major drawback for something that would otherwise put training wheels on 4/5 color control or midrange decks.
Just typing that last sentence out I can already tell that Modern isn't going to be a very good place for new City of Brass, given you already have City of Brass and it sees no play.

Yeah, not having any taplands is huge. Will make the mirror even more skill intensive though.

For the uninitiated:
Atheros, God of Passage 1WB
Legendary Enchantment Creature -- God
Indestructible.
As long as your devotion to white and black is less than seven, ~ isn't a creature.
Whenever another creature you own dies, return it to your hand unless target opponent pays 3 life.
6/5
THAT'S A SPICY MEAT-A-BALL

I thought it was a typo when I saw the text spoiler, but this thing is pushed beyond belief. I approve of my Dega wedge getting more love.

why is Pharika, God of Affliction 3cc? It just hates out midrange and aggro decks so badly...... I can see this card and the WB god being bonkers (plus the starfish NEVER forget the starfish......).

About time they gave The Rock decks some love
I also really like that demon, the drawback might be significant but a 5/5 flyer for 3 cmc is nothing to scoff at

Pharika seems underpowered. The red creature that draws two cards is interesting. Works good with Iroas.

I am also not a fan of Pharica. Most of the time she wouldn't do anything beyond staying out there.
Red Mythic can be 1 dolar or 30 dolars depends if the meta is good for it. Currently it isnt favorable.

Considering the colors Pharica will be used in - I doubt you'll have much shortages in snake food.
The only issue is that Bx, Ux and Control don't really care about 1/1 death touch creatures
thus I think it would be good in the sideboard since it crushes other monster decks.
That said, I won't be running it since I hate monster decks

This set has had a way with bursting my balloon. I'm not particularly excited by the spoilers from last night even with the "best Ophidian" now in Red.
No one played Garruk Relentless for 1/1 deathtouch wolves as far as I know and he didn't require resources to put them out... And he allowed you to tutor for a creature and bolt a creature and make 2/2 wolves and overrun. Pharika is pretty marginal and I don't think marginal is enough to make her a real girl.
Demon is real bad. Under normal circumstances it'd be where the drawback is acceptable because your opponent either draws an answer or loses, but the drawback actively draws your opponent into an answer. That and the prevalence of scrying, I don't think it's worth bending over backwards for this.

It does indeed suck. Spirit of the Labyrinth does not even stop the card draw. Should have been on opponents turn.

The art is gorgeous and its 0/5 + passive ability make it seem like another strong UW option.... do you guys think burn still be via once this next set comes out?

If there's a cheap way to protect the creature that gives the player hexproof, it could be a serious beating for r/w burn.

Gods willing and Brave
The thing is, the hexproof card is only good vs burn and ..thought seize? It's a SB card at best for both WW and control decks. I do think our control matchups are now significantly harder.

You have hexproof.
