Also summits.

Peaceville style summits, or iridium style summits?

Also, if this site has rules, why are they not strictly codified and made publically available?

DiesToRemoval.com is a website that promotes free conversation among free individuals.
Our site policies are simple, yet strict, and we reserve the right to ban members who go against them.
No hazing or cyberbullying will be allowed in the public areas of the forums. Unless we say so.
Treat new members with respect, even if you don't agree with their ideas.
Be open minded. Not everyone shares your beliefs.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Even people who think your opinion is crap.
Always remember to conduct yourself in a manner becoming of a DTR member, when posting elsewhere.
Never troll the moderators. We will troll you harder.
All members are aware that our staff is corrupt. Bringing it up is redundant.
Site policies restrict the use of racial slurs or derogatory language if deemed offensive.
Site policies dictate that not all slurs and derogatory language are necessarily
offensive.

Very good. Glad to see that the administration here is willing to write rules that are clearly unbiased and impartial.

Of course, this isn't taking into account the myriad of conjured possibilities the fan base has come up with to explain away the confusion. The easiest of these explanations, of course, is that the fanbase is composed almost entirely of morons and they don't get the meta-statement that the game series is about the girl instead of the guy.. as the franchise is a child of 80's, when women's liberation and BDSM were both reaching their apex in popularity, the idea of a princess that gets captured as part of an over-arching plan to instill in her hero the power he needs to save her and therefore the world was, well, rather touching really, as well as making good old Zelda look like a badass*; more interesting, though, is the current glut of assertions that Zelda is, in fact, Link,
and the ways this little tidbit gets explained away become truly mind-blowingly polarizing. For instance:
- The whole thing is Zelda's dream (think FFX), and she dreams of a hero to come save her with is "master sword" like some 1950's wallflower
- Again, the whole thing is a dream, but in them Zelda dreams she instead is her own savior, and either through complex neuro/psychotropy or simple Gender Switch Disorder she dreams that she's a young boy.
- Instead of being a dream, Zelda breaks out of her prison easily and saves herself, sneaking back at night to make sure Gannon doesn't catch on; she does this either because she knows the world needs a hero, or more satisfyingly she does this to appease Gannon, her true love, because she knows he cannot be truly happy unless presented with a challenge that can be his equal (or even his superior)
- Link, either by Oedipal proxy or, more simply, by dint of being ruled by his own master sword (which can be related easily enough either to the
foetal umbilicus or his male urges to procreate with the best possible genetic material), is technically his own personality but only in a gossamer fashion such as is experienced through bees in a hive-mind, controlled completely by the will of the feminine crownhead/godhead; in a happy little breaking of the fourth wall, Link is in turn controlled by the controller as well, and every time zhe dies zhe is simply replaced by the next drone in zezem's quest. This provides the meta-question of whether or not the player is, in fact, Zelda.

*-also to be considered is the possibility that Link doesn't get top billing simply because the asshole spends all of his time breaking pots, chopping down trees, destroying entire geological structures, and killing the inhabitants of the planet in his single-minded quest to kill a man who just happens to be dark-skinned; this is hard to dispute, considering that the 80's is also well-known for being a time when ecological and racial harmonies
were trying to find their footing.
