I don't even have the wallet yet. I'm still blowing on the cartridge, trying to get the game to work.

Make sure you try pulling it out and jamming it back in again repeatedly.

I'm curious about how others here prefer to play in "do-or-die" scenarios. If you're playing against a deck with a combo that can kill you out of nowhere (Pod, Twin, Scapeshift, etc.), and you don't have the necessary disruption in hand, do you pass the turn with untapped mana, fake like you have it and make them play around it, or tap out to advance your board state in case they don't have it? I've been burned both ways, so I can't reliably draw on past experiences.

Depends on the situation, ham. If I can represent lethal next turn and my opponent hasn't been doing much, I make them have it. If I have no disruption but play a deck with a lot of it and I don't have them at a low enough life total, I represent disruption.

by hamfactorial
That's usually the way I like to play it, Val. When there's no middle ground option (play a crappy 1 drop, representing disruption), I go #yolo and attempt to win instead of playing mind games.

But then again, I'm on a terrible cooler lately and looking for holes in my game.

It works for either.

at worst, advancing your board to a winning position makes them go for it earlier than intended and maybe fizzle. or they win and would have anyways probably. it depends on the type of disruption in your deck and how much they know about it.

against a creature deck, they're usually just gonna go for it

if you're playing blue and bluffing counters that changes things a little, but that's about it. twin can go for the combo like 8 times so they aren't afraid of removal.

For the longest time I thought the guy in your avvy was letting sand fall through his hands, with really crappy animation. Who knows what the floating white thing was supposed to be. Probably left over from when you manually photoshopped the sand.

Did... did Scralty just compare his boob avatar to one of the most poignant symbols of power found in the library of all literature? I mean, I love Boobsie as much as anyone, but that seems like a stretch.
