I think the Jace art looks fine. He has the gravitas of a Cold War politician trying to keep the balance between Soviet Russia and the US, which is what he essentially is.

The comic is close to a decade old - I'm sure if the authors cared they'd have fixed it.

My roommate explained it to me.

"In ocarnia of time, the first n64 game, there was a patch of grass outside of the shop in a neutral area that you could cut down with your sword. Each patch of grass cut would yeild 1 rupee, or "dollar" but if you cut them all down, the last patch had a 50 rupee. It was popular early grinding area because you could leave and come back and the grass would respawn."

In Ocarina of Time every house had tall grass outside with rupees in it and pots inside with rupees in them.

It's not exactly an inside joke - it's probably right below a Mario reference on the "gaming shit everyone knows" scale.

It was like that in A Link to the Past, arguable the best Legend of Zelda game (and Super Nintendo game) ever.

I think they actually ask you how to obtain rupees on a Gamestop interview

That's like the opposite of hipster cred.

"I only played video games that were widely accepted by popular culture after it became cool."

Unless that's some new next-level hipster shit.

My daughter's name is Zoe. She also approves of them. I wish I was as cool as the guy who beat his girlfriend's ex-husband with Link's sword, but we can't all be rockstars.

You guys are a religious cult. You flock to the teachings of a man-who-would-be-pirate-king (Zem), hoping to find guidance and knowledge. You have secret deliberations in your private thread and are governed by an ominously-titled "inner council."

Next thing you know, you're planning a "clan get-together" masquerading a mass suicide.
:fixed:

Show some respect.
