Thanks bud! You're super helpful! I probably wouldn't have asked if I didn't already go that route.
I was looking for opinions on reliability and other factors that make some people like certain review sites more so than others.

Here!
Just ask me what to watch. What types of stories do you like? Medieval fantasy? Futuristic thrillers? High school dramas?
I've seen animes in almost every genre.

I like pretty much everything. High School drama would be the one thing I want to shy away from though.

D Gray Man is great. The anime is better than the manga since the tone is more consistent.
It's about exorcists trying to stop this family of demons (descended from Noah) from destroying humanity.

It also defies most cliche anime character stereotypes which is refreshing.

I saw like three episodes on tv early one morning. Some kid with a flaming bell got pwned or something. then floating things destroyed a european city. I was sorta intrigued.

Saiyuki is one of the best as well. It's 3 seasons long and 100 eps about these four warriors traveling West to stop the reincarnation of this demon lord. It's a retelling of the ancient Chinese 'Journey to the West' tale.

Each exorcist has their own unique weapon. The flaming bell is one of those weapons. The floating things are "akuma" or trapped souls of humans that the demons have turned into weapons in their war against the exorcists.

The only thing I hate about anime is that the English dubs use like the same five fucking people.
I hear it from the other room and I'm like ohey it's Roy Mustang.
No it's not. It's not FMA.
It could be any other fucking show.
