And here I thought we severed our losses with R/x Aggro forum. Can't ever stray far from home, huh?

Well, zem made the Rx Forum on Sally a little better by making LeoninKha vow to never post there again.

While I applaud what he's done, we're not really trying to make the place less asinine...

Like I said, it's a large enough community to warrant recruitment efforts - in theory.

In practice, I haven't really seen any prospects...

It's in RLA titled "Screwed Up" (or something similar) if you want to check it out. Not very interesting, though: guy isn't having sex with wife, masturbates instead, wife caught him, wife has breakdown and accuses OP of breaking her trust, OP folds and agrees to have parental controls put on his PC so he can no longer watch porn, wants advice because his marriage is falling apart.

It's ridiculous.

I guarantee that my son will build it just to see it go off a time or two...that's why we have a kitchen table! We were indeed all discussing a Jund build with Varolz, but any such effort is really weak to Azorius Charm and thus hampered from success in the meta.

That actually sounds like an altercation I had with my fiancee not long ago. Except I blamed it on her for needing such things and she decided it would solve everything if she started putting out on a regular basis. And good times were had by all involved parties.

Speaking of not the former topic at all, the officiate for my wedding just bailed on me.

Platypus, I playtested this deck on MTGO last night with great results.

[deck]Creatures (32)
4 Stromkirk Noble
4 Rakdos Cackler
2 Stonewright
4 Ash Zealot
4 Flinthoof Boar
4 Burning-Tree Emissary
4 Lightning Mauler
4 Fervent Cathar
2 Ghor-Clan Rampager

Spells (8)
4 Searing Spear
4 Rancor

Lands (20)
4 Stomping Ground
4 Rootbound Crag
12 Mountain

Sideboard (15)
3 Boros Reckoner
3 Pillar of Flame
2 Ground Seal
2 Traitorous Blood
3 Volcanic Strength
2 Frostburn Weird[/deck]

I feel like I want another green source so I might shove a Temple Garden in and take out a Mountain. I'm also unsure about Stonewright currently. He seems like a better sideboard card. I may test Legion Loyalist instead. I also need to work on the sideboard.
I usually only want the Pillars to kill dorks so those may come out for Electrickery. I also don't like Traitorous Blood here. Those two may become my Stonewrights.

I've tested Fervent Cathar before in the All-in Red list and really like him. He's resistant to Azorius Charm and doesn't care that your opponent slammed a Loxodon Smiter last turn. Speaking of Loxodon Smiter, I've found this deck has little use for Mizzium Mortars in the side since we're playing Rancor and Ghor-Clan Rampager. The ability of this deck to just smash through fatties is very refreshing.
How has ground seal worked out for you? With a curve that low, I'd consider taking it out. If you waste your t2 or tx with that you'll just get overrun with normal thrags and resto angels into AoS IMO.

TBloods are great in that match-up though for getting through the last points of damage. -2 Ground Seal +2 Stonewright for the SB?

I've actually found little use for TBlood and prefer Ground Seal for three reasons:

1) It hoses both Reanimator AND Snapcaster Mage decks.
2) It's a cantrip.
3) I'm playing Fervent Cathar so I rarely need to steal a creature against a deck that classically presents one large threat at a time.

This is not a card I will be playing on turn two. I have plenty of other things to cast instead so that argument is invalid.

The only drawback to Ground Seal vs Reanimator is that Acidic Slime is often brought in from the board. I still think Ground Seal buys enough time to make the play worth it, especially since it replaces itself.

Acidic Slime is in the board? You don't say.

Cause I clearly remember losing again and again in game 1 to "Turn 3 slime, turn 4 resto angel, turn 5 slime, rofl nice mana bro."

Reanimator lists I've seen run two main and two side. Is this out of date?

I've seen as many as 4 in the mainboard. It's not unreasonable, being that far ahead on land can actually just win you the game with no skill involved whatsoever.

That's interesting, but also sensible, especially if they are running Resto main as well. I guess I just haven't run into these variations yet. All I seem to play online is the typical AoS/Thrag lists with Loxodon Smiter and Slimes in the side.

When I played Pod last Standard, abusing Slime was my favorite path to victory.

And that was back when everyone wasn't running some 3-4 color monstrocity...

Slime, Phantasmal Image copy Slime, sac Image to Pod up Sun Titan, bring back Image copy Slime.

Play Fiend Hunter on Slime, sac Fiend Hunter to Pod, Slime ETB, get Resto Angel/Metamorph, blink/Copy Slime. Repeat with Sun Titan.

Isn't this game fun?

"My decks are alive. They're not just picking up scuffs and whatever microscopic flecks of me whenever I touch them. They're absorbing every one of my failures and victories, and all of the time I spend with them."
Found this when talking about Netrunner(my other game of choice atm), I think that this statement shows why I play red season after season. And what sets red mages apart from other metahopping spikes.
Some men just want to watch the planes burn. . .and most of them are here.
