Finished 5-4 in imited gp with mediocore pool. Build naya as my first deck n limited time limit, and then with friends after 2 looses we tried for something else, and managed to pull of 3 wins with grixis. At that point was 4-2 after 1 bye with playing game 1 with bad mana fast naya (I killed 2 different opponents on 1 turn from 20 killing his 2 creatures before starting with 1/1 heroic guy) and game 2 and 3 mediocore grixis control without bounce or removal. Lost next 2 rounds and won last finishing 5-4.
I oppened the sickest pool you could imagine. Elspeth, eidolon of countless battles, courser of crupnix, nessian fighter with tribute, dictate of helliod, dawnbringer charioteers, settessan tacti cs (1 of the rares from journey was foil). So basicly 7 rares from green and white, plus ornitarh, oblivion ring, time to feed, nessian asp, voyaging satyr, 2/1 elk and 1/2 artifact dork, some centaurs, soe leafsth dryad, some
solid other 2 and 3 drops. I counted 30 good playable cards in those colos.
I checked receiver of my pool. He went 0-3 drop... that pool in competent hands should go 9-0 imo.

Lazerburn can you add Rhyno into the clan? His ingame name is Rhynocerous (he did ask for an invite before (a few pages back) but you must of missed it).

5-2-1 drop.
the draw was frustrating and by the end i was pretty drained. in person magic is hard after so much modo. overall i felt like i did pretty well considering it was my first GP and having never before played the deck. my buddy is 8-1 with rug twin. if i had goyfs i would have played that. scavenging ooze is also just nuts right now in modern

Lazerburn is the GM of the online clan, I wish he could provide other people with the ability too invite so we can have people online during each timezone.
@IO2: 5-2-1 isn't a horrible result esp. if your not use to MODERN or paper magic (I can't stand paper magic anymore
).

Got the note about Rhyno - will send invite now. The invite/add thing is a bit silly but anyone can message me on there at any time and I can then add them when I next log on which is at least
once a day!

Was hoping the premier event for standard would fire. I take it that it never does on a Sunday?

Well, with today being Mother's Day on top of the bad EV for Premiers, I wouldn't be surprised.

Joined a release sealed event. Not thrilled with my pool but will see what happens.

What is roughly the break even rate for premiers?

Did my first jou bng ths draft today. First picked a manaconfluence for value and the took 3 satyr hoplites in a row. Ended up 15 land RW aggro with about 8 one drops, and after destroying my first 2 opponents, I flooded both games in the finals and didn't see a one drop in either game. Oh well, still got the mana confluence and a courser for value and 4 packs as well

10 tickets to enter.
Top 32 pays out 3 packs and no QPs (-1 ticket)
Top 16 pays out 6 packs and no QPs (+8 tickets).
You start getting QPs when you Top 8.
This is the payout for a 7 round event on a platform that has been known to die in large events. You are better off with dailies and 8-mans given the results you need and the time required.

Weird, a whole set of bots aren't buying BNG right now. I thought my trade binder was messed up until one saw it. Shrug, I have enough tickets for now.
Thanks Blak.

3-0 split and 3-1 after losing the first match. I always have a hard time deciding if I should walk trouble into open mana on turn 3 vs UWx control. It always feels wrong but if I wait, it becomes so bad anyway. Did I answer my own question?

I think if you hit trouble on T3 you could just cast it, though if you get it later in the game you should try and set-up "traps" (assuming you really don't have SC in hand
by tapping out EoT with burns letting them rev and hitting them back with trouble.
BTW good results, I was watching that UW game when you were debating about phoenix on T3 when your opp. had two mana open (I think its the same with Trouble,
just go for it most control list don't pack 3+ [mana]UX[/mana] counters).

Had the sealed PTQ today. Went 6-1, being in 4th place in the final round before cut to top 8. I got paired down and could not draw in. I lost that round due to mana flood both games, finishing in 10th. Was so close yet again
. Had a terrible pool, ending up playing a pile of rw cards and Godsend. Oh well, heres to doing a bit better in gp atlanta.

Going 6-1 with a terrible pool is fantastic.

How do you set up the music for your videos, MDU? I'm assuming just a media player combination set to repeat but figured I'd ask. I think I'm going video game nerd music with me. No dragonforce though, that's just going too far.

I just run it on repeat, I could have more selection of music but I prefer if people at least try and listen too some random tunes from foreign films every now and again.
I assumed you were twitching both events? How were the view likes (I know your recording style is like mine, just playing the game and talking about plans and such)? DO you think its some thing worth getting into?
I know players like G_L use to use twitch and you-tube together to farm 1000's views per videos but he is MUCH more colorful then I
when he plays the games (cussing, screaming, ranting, dancing, etc... etc...) its not something I want to emulate even if it does means more views.

I'm never going to have volume of videos to get enough traffic. I just don't play enough. It would be nice to actually not lose my files after a week.
I'm just doing it so I can look back at my games for screwups and hopefully entertain the community a bit. How is youtube?
What do I do with season 5 QP's? Use them for virtual coasters?

I only have 2 QPs
they're for block (which I hate) and they provide you with a nice shiny alt art
Bayou which is worth $36 tickets non-foil (once you have 15 QP, 35 QP too skip prelims), I think the free version would worth roughly 20 and slowly rise.
In regards with Youtube I like it
since it is designed for people to view later rather then LIVE (it does have a live feature but I never use it) so you could for example play 2 DE and upload them around a period of two days or more.

I'll probably switch to youtube then. The live part doesn't interest me.

Ok, I'm setting it up now and I'll get around to uploading videos when I can. I assume you just video editor yours since you start with the headers. Would help remove the dead time in my videos.
It keeps wanting to link google plus up to it. Are there any anonymity issues?

I suggest making ANOTHER gmail account if you want to keep your name hidden, ever since google brought youtube they've been making it worst and worst (I esp. hate the google+ crap).

In the past (late last year) when they we're introducing Google+ you could unlink your channel from one of the settings (I can't recall).
Just be warned, the last time I unlink from google+ it prevented me from commenting, uploading, liking and it automatically reconnected me after x amounts of days so if google is continuing this practice they will try and make your youtubing experience a nightmare.... thus your best bet is too make a new Gmail account with the desired name you want to show.

Now I'm just trying to get the right settings for video editing. Trying windows movie maker and toying with settings. Tried combining two parts of a video and cut some filler and it ended up 50% larger so I did something wrong.

I use Wondershare it rather simple too use so I'm happy with it.
Ooo btw if you guy HAVN'T uploaded any videos yet I suggest loggin on YouTube select "Switch account" and just add another name (it will save you hassles in creating another account).
