I like all the Dimir influences in sigs creeping in.
What? What? There's no Dimir here...the secret guild is just a rumor <<quickly hides eye-spider patch>>. :?

As to all the fervor over Bile Blight and black, keep in mind that the card is also a strong, targeted hoser for Pack Rat. Yes black is getting some great tools, but the meta is still going to shift about; black is going to be less able to dominate the meta on the back of that card.

almost every card that person listed has seen fringe play to top tier play. duskmantle seer and immortal servitude are the only two really shitty cards that captain obvious says are good.
Guess I shouldn't open my mouth until I do the research. I have a tendency to do that. Usually as a method of gaining social acceptance.

i will tell you the correct choice when the spoiler is finished.
You really should write a limited primer when the set is spoiled, even if it's only brief.

I've got a man-crush on Gyre Sage, but I don't really care that much about the rest of the list.

Kait, what do you think about White Weenie in upcoming format? It's the kind of deck that loves your belowed Brimaz as one-man army, especially when you get anthems running. Path of Bravery seems like one of these under-radar cards that perform pretty damn well in token-based strategies.

It's just... damnit, probably due to Sedai and Zem I started to have a huge boner for Heliod. He takes games over on his own. If Brimaz wouldn't cost 25$, I'd probably build it on Modo at least. Or just start to attend my LGS again.

I like white weenie strategies right now and also going forward, but it's not going to be getting any easier with all this black shit getting spoiled. also people will be trying more ramp strategies now which is bad news for white aggro.
balancing all the 3 drops is going to be the problem, especially because the three drops work well with each other, but i'm sure someone more interested than me will find the right numbers.

I foresee control being on the top of post-BNG Standard, because the other decks are going to dilute themselves with new removal, but eventually I don't see things as being much different than they are right now. Mono B and Mono U will still be great, RW variants will be good, GR variants will be good. Either a new ramp deck emerges or GR just gets a facelift. Control is actually getting the least spoiled cards, so that surge I talked about will probably dissipate quickly and I will be a sad UW player as adjustments are made.

If Wb / WW / Bw / Mono B Aggro maintain the foothold begun by Orzhov aggro decks towards the end of this Theros season, I will be pleasantly surprised. Personally I think mono black is getting too many tools to be overrun any longer. If there is an aggro answer to the black menace, it is probably in red, and Firedancer Satyr may have something to do with it.

I'd say Red is screwed hard currently. You could prey on suicide black if you'd have some high-quality burn. Now it's non-existant.
Well, I try to believe that with all the Anthems you can actually overcome Drown in Sorrow.
White theoretically has access to Fiendslayer but this guy dies to Drown in Sorrow without an anthem.
After some testing, Path of Bravery is a good card. Lifegain is some kind of weapon against MonoB. Especially if they will drop Pack Rats.

In terms of 3-drops I was thinking about 3/3 split between Brimaz and Eidolon. If I'd go for heroic, I'd probably go for 3/3 Fabled Hero and Boros Reckoner or something.

I can't be the only one that's predicting a huge rise in control decks in the coming weeks am I? New kill spells will scare some aggro players. Mono Black is on top for the first few weeks, then control comes along without their biggest threat in contention.

However, I think WB Humans/aggro or burn decks might come out of this. Selesnya might see some popularity due to fear of Bile Blight and Sorrow. Some people will just think those cards will be in every deck with black.

So mono u devotion it is. Beats aggro, even with control. And I can tell everyone how smart I am because I'm using blue - only great minds can count to 5 devotion then ejaculate elementals everywhere.

Great.

FNM and PT are the same thing.

Especially when you're claiming to have been a 16 year old girl at the time you competed there, contrary to all available evidence.

Hrm. Should I feel bad about playing Black Devotion with a splash of white? I know my first mistake being that the deck I am playing doesn't have mountains but, this whola standard season has been very unforgiving when I have tried playing Red. Devotion is just really, really strong.

Edit: Oh, good lord, my signature still has Lightning Mauler and Stonewright in it? -_- This must be corrected.
