Here is a card that's a bad Darksteel Ingot at 1, a bad Gilded Lotus at 2 or 3, and overcosted at anything more than that. I guess there's an upside to being able to make infinite mana whenever you want if you've already done it once, but otherwise, it's a shitty rare.

So, how many times are they going to print stuff like Pinnacle of Rage before they realize it's never going to work?

Yeah not much for red here. The black fated looks cool, but probably way overcosted. Instant speed reanimation is dangerous territory. I like new 4 mana cultivate with scry 1 for edh. Also I cant decide if Gild is decent or not. The only benchmark I have is sever the bloodline, and it really seems lackluster compared.

Peregrination is more EDH ramp for Green. If I played Green, I would like it.

I wonder if we'll get a creature burn equal to our devotion to red. Acolyte's Reward in white makes me think that's possible.

IDK, it's just that Scry 1 has been pretty underwhelming in EDH for me. I might take the scrylands out of my Riku deck in favor of non-cipt lands.

Scry 1 isn't worth a mana wizards. Scry 2 is close.

Eye Gouge [mana]b[/mana]

Instant
Target creature gets -1/-1 until end of turn. If it's a Cyclops, destroy it.

So much flavor. I chuckled when I saw this.

Some cards get the the scry for free, and others we have to pay for. Pick one and go with it! If I am paying for scry, it better be more than 1.

Impetuous Sunchaser, is just that. Being 1/1 it pisses me off. A 2/1 would not have been an issue in other sets, but since this is an enchantment (and thus aura's) block they probably had to err on the side of unplayable. Just guessing?

Yeah, I think it was a better idea to just add the scry 1 and keep the cost the same, like they did with new Infest and new Cancel. Portent of Betrayal and Peregrination would have both been okay at 2c.

I guess they felt that it was okay to just add scry 1 on cards that already required double colored mana.

This seems right.

They're right to be worried about too much scry being playable in constructed; if decks had a dozen playable scry effects they'd be too reliable compared to decks that don't have the option.

I like Gild and Oracle Jr.

Also, I'm pretty sure 2 for a 2/1 Flying Haste is a little strong. I don't know if it'd be too strong, but I know I'd consider it an auto-include.

Hot Stuff

Acolyte's Reward: Divine Reflection was a strong card in Wx decks. This one is cheaper in terms of manacost and can screw Mono Red (one of the worst matchups for Wx) heavily. You want this in SB of your WW.
Gild: the final cycle of "Black screws everything" is complete. We had creature/planeswalker removal, then two sweepers and now we finally can get rid off indestructible things. While it's nowhere close to Severe the Bloodline, you bitch is fine. Will see some SB play to say "Thassa you cunt".
Fall of the Hammer: Fight is for scrubs, better deal damage. Suprisingly good card for RG Midrange/Ramp as bitches don't strike back.
Aspect of Hydra: maybe it's just a win harder card but don't tell me it can't go crazy.
Courser of Kruphix: while this guy is not such an
engine as Oracle of Mul Daya was, he's still good as every land played from top of your deck = another card drawn. I like him.

This was in the text that someone copied/pasted for all those spoilers before the page went down:
The damage will be dealt by Acolyte's Reward as it existed on the stack, not as it exists when the damage is dealt. That is, it's an instant spell that's dealing the damage, in case an ability cares about that (such as Satyr Firedancer's, which includes the phrase "Whenever an instant or sorcery spell you control deals damage to an opponent")
Looks like it might be something for us! :)

I like how the new oracle of mul daya is a blue card.

It generates CA, gains life, blocks, and ensures you hit all your land drops.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Every deck I played Oracle in had heavy blue(mostly RUG, UG, and EDH decks).

Any deck I'd build with this would probably start with breeding pool and maybe a temple garden thrown in.
