The so-called best deck to never win a tournament? I was never into it. It stole some games from me though, no doubt about that. I did play Jace throughout his entire Standard run.

I really liked Boros Landfall until they printed Batterskull. Then I just played Cawblade like everyone else.

I wish I could've been around to play 5 color control.
Otherwise I've only played 3 decks competitively: pyrowhite (sort of), sledgehammer red, and B/r zombies from scars/innistrad

I wish I had a chance to play U/W Delver and a few of red myriad of non-combo Pod decks in standard.

Favorite decks in the last couple years was Grixis control in delver standard. You where a dog to PrimeTime decks, but Delver was a buy and you got to play with desperate ravings which is just the sweetest. The Aristocrats was also the coolest thing ever and let you play a bunch of different games. I really enjoy decks that have lots of different gameplans.
I never got into RG agro mostly because I thought the deck was terrible(really I just hated bird>sword) but I loved that it played borderland ranger. In Zendblock, I liked Vamps but quickly moved onto mono-red and caw-blade until batterskull came out when I just stopped playing constructed till rotation(was in the service at the time so it's not like grindy decks I didn't like was conducive to playing on the PT).

lol, it was arguably the best deck for a not-small window, why is bird into sword bad? feast and famine trigger on turn 3 is how you won games.

It was just something I hated playing against lol. I had someone go bird>WaP against me and I was like...shit.

I played with it while testing for GP Kitakyushu. I did not feel the deck was skill intensive at all. You just played the most expensive card in your hand and flipped bonfires all day.

I am discussing the deck before Bonfire was printed, which actually weakened the decks results. There was no reason to not play Delver after it got Resto Angel.

A) I said skill rewarding, not skill intensive and
2) If that's your perception, you where PROBABLY less good then you think you are.
That's not exactly a neg. Most people are in fact much less good then they think they are.

Meh I found Jund so boring to play. "What's the most expensive card in my hand? Play that".
Now, there were many ways to leverage play skill with the deck (Huntmaster, PWs and KWR) but that was only relevant if you were t just styling on someone with one of the deck's many absurd draws.

I never played it in a tournament, but I tested it along with Kibler Gruul and UWR control leading up to the GP for about six hours a night every night for four weeks with Solemn10.
We wanted to make sure we were well aware of how the decks worked, since we were fairly certain we would play against them.
I'm obviously not Reid Duke, but jund is the kind of deck that doesn't take a Reid Duke to play. It was just all the most broken cards in standard crammed into one deck. It had so many "Oh, I win" top decks, and the mirrors really seemed like it was just who drew more thragtusks.
I actually for UWR to ne more difficult, but also more powerful and rewarding.
Not my kind of deck at all, but I understand why that sort of deck appeals to some.

My RG PTQ deck:
[deck]4 Stromkirk Noble
4 Rakdos Cackler
4 Burning-Tree Emissary
4 Flinthoof Boar
2 Lightning Mauler
2 Firefist Striker
4 Boros Reckoner
4 Ghor-Clan Rampager
3 Hellrider
3 Pillar of Flame
4 Searing Spear
1 Mizzium Mortars
11 Mountains
4 Stomping Ground
4 Rootbound Crag
2 Temple Garden
Sideboard
13 Cards
2 Ash Zealot[/deck]
Deck was a blast to play. Changed two cards in the board to ash zealots the night before. Got randomly paired down round 2 and beat an aristocrats player(worst matchup) because the two ash zealots dealt 9 damage from lingering souls flashback(s). Lost to an Esper player without sphinx's revelation because obzedat and lingering souls are really good and lost to the mirror to finish in top 16 =(

Same basic decks been in my gauntlet all season. You can probably cut a rapid from the board depending on how many green decks you expect to play. I also like having the third bident in the board since it's so good vs. all the decks you're trying to beat(uw/mbc/orzhov mid).
