Guys, if you don't hear from me after this, send help o.o
I am currently drinking a can of self-heating hot cocoa made in malaysia...
Why do I do these things to myself?
Tell me how that goes.
Reminds me of that self-cooling koolaid stuff.
That killed a few kids, right?

I played it all the time. Problem is that it can die to burn and has issues with
Auriok Champion. Also, making it competitive good requires serious $. Goyfs not be cheap. Got tired of playing it and I kept getting hozed by Pod and Splinter twin. I have switched to Pod and/or American. Both are quite fun.

When we start working together next season, sure. I like to give credit where it is due.
Thoughts on UW vs Mono U devotion kait? Most players tell me that it is very favourable for UW Control but Sam Pardee says the exact opposite.

Mono-blue this season seems like RB zombies in delver standard. You think the matchup goes one way playing against decent to good players until you end up against a master of the archetype and then you're like "...ok? Guess I'm dead."
RE Auriok CHampion: same exp as Sasky.

Yeah I never understood why people thought Zombies were good against Delver, I always won that.
I miss Delver days.

Nykthos Green in modern actually looks pretty sweet. Primeval Titan is just good in anything, surprise surprise.

My local FNM has a lot of white decks. I see quite a few A.C.'s, but they are side boarded. You live in Texas?

the mono blue lists have changed a bit to be more resilient to supreme verdict decks. i personally think it still favors uw.

My sideboard plan is to side out Cloudfin and Frostburn (too mana intensive) and bring in Planeswalkers and counterspells; seems pretty effective in testing.

Don't ever play more then one judges familiar at a time seems like something important to note. Neither Thassa nor master of waves seems amazing in this matchup, though I'm thinking master is the last card I'm looking to trim. THassa is firmly on the chopping block as scry 1 isn't worth a card.
Bident and mutavault seem like the most important tools you have.

Jace Architect of Thought is the best card, not close. Spectre is insane too.

I love white. 8.5 tails and Thalia are some of my favorite cards, with Brimaz and Spirit of the Labyrinth about to join them. Geist of Saint Traft is in there too, as UW is my favorite color combination.
UW
UB
RG
Those are my three favorites to play, although RB is fun with the right card pool.

I don't miss Delver (as someone who was always across the table), but I agree with you 100% about the Zombie matchup. I generally felt at least even on Br Zombies against UW G1, but after they boarded in Purge and Timely I was generally hosed if they saw them (particularly if they were on the Voltron plan and could lock me out long enough to get something suited up). Granted, I was no master of the format, but I knew my deck inside-out and was playing on a level beyond my current uber-casual status.
James, feel free to send your article my way if you're still looking for input...obviously my offer comes from the writing and
theory standpoint rather than player's acumen, but there it is.

I've had a few favorites, but the deck that brought me the most success was RG Aggro with GSZ, Huntmaster, Strangleroot Geist, etc. That deck versus Delver (Pre-Avacyn Restored Standard) is the most skill-intensive match I've played in Standard in a long time. Huntmaster triggers versus Vapor Snag and Snapcaster, such a magnificent game of chess. It also brought me a lot of success, with a top 32 and a top 12 placing in 600+ person online PTQ's, missing top eight in the latter in the final round by losing game three to Delver, the same deck I'd beaten four or five times in the tournament, along with the mirror, Wolf Run Ramp and mono red. Back then there wasn't 10,000 decks seeing play, the dilution of Standard makes it less interesting to me.
