Yea. The prelims are for mocs. This is for BNG champs. Basically wizards is trying to supplement their inability to run premium tournaments with prelim tourneys to line their pockets

BTW with 12 1 drops with 2 power black might be extremely powerful. Plus what is important is the fact that it gets anthem (I know 3 mana one) but jumping power from 2 to 3 seems really good in the world of sylvan caryatid.

yea, I've been having a lot of success recently just grabbing all the red in bng and maybe a loyal Pegasus or two, and then jamming into white for wingsteed riders and tricks, and then you're typically one of the only people in red and all the premium red comes around (dragon's mantels, titan's strengths, sometimes you'll snag a lightning strike before someone splashes it...).

Probably going to top 100 after next update as yesterday got 3 points.

@imopen2 I've always tried to draft red in this format. It's always open, people undervalue it as a color because it is the weakest overall, but when you get all of the premium red it becomes a solid consistent deck. If you can get some good white or black filler it usually is a very fast deck backed up with solid removal in black or really good enablers in white. I generally draft on tuesdays at my lgs and thats my experience there, but I did the same thing online last night with the same results so I have to think its a similar view online.

If it's open in born, it's safe to draft. If not, err on the side of U or W I'd think. Red really is the best color in BnG though.

yes, I will definitely be doing the prelims for the limited champs. I almost jumped into a constructed one today and then remembered that the finals are on 4/20 and i'll be busy.

I've won the last 2 8-4s I've played in so at least I know i'll be in good shape if I top 8 the sealed ptq I'm attending on Saturday. unfortunately, I've had a bad run of sealeds online. an 0-2 drop, a 2-2, and another 0-2 drop today (I might have been able to pull off 2-2 finishes in both that I dropped but I was a bit upset and dropped because of it. one pool sucked, the other was rather good.

I can also attend the limited finals but I'm horrible at limited so for me it would just be throwing away tickets.

I have 23 or 24 qps for this season. And not playing much.
