I dunno, most of the anime I really like has little to no fanserviceThere's always room for cleavage in serious business.Right there with ya, but the culture behind it uses over-the-top fanservice to drive the story, punctuate the more dramatic stuff. They usually do it very well, but yeah sometimesAlso I totally frown upon manga and anime that make copious use of fanservice
