Hey! I built that deck too! Only problem is, I didn't know you can't craft Grim Patron, so the deck's not great. How quickly can I get him buying into the wings? Do I have to finish the whole deal?
Ended up crafting a bunch of Classic commons too. Hopefully I dont regret that later, but I can't see how I'll ever get them if I keep playing Arena instead of buying packs directly.

You just need the first wing, which also gives you quick shot iirc

Deck is fun and supposedly beats everything but a handful of decks such as control warrior and midrange hunter
Still have no clue what I'm doing when I play it though

I put Patron Warrior together when I had the cards for it (minus Grommash). It's good and fun, but have a very high learning curve.

tried arena for the first time last night. went 4-3, was pretty stoked. had to sacrifice a goat to the RNG gods to get there, worth every drop of blood.

Arena's fun. Harder than it used to be though. All those newbies who joined when the game went mobile have either quit or gotten better. I'm averaging about 4 wins now instead of 7 when I first started. Currently 2-0 with a pretty great Shaman deck, so I'm hopeful for this run.

Nice! yeah i lost two in a row when i first went into it and was pretty bummed, then got 4 wins straight. Gonna draft a new deck today and see how it goes. hoping for mage or warrior next, because i am face aggro scum lol

Warrior is generally considered the worst Arena class. I've never tried him though. Mage, on the other hand, is generally considered the best. Most people would pick Mage over anything.

ah i did not know that. i really like playing warrior and mage in constructed. last night i went with hunter, and enjoyed it. despite my hatred of hunters from back when i played wow.

That card is pretty good, I guess.
Mage just has such great spells between that, Fireball and Frostbolt. Their creatures ain't bad either.

10 damage is a lot, but so is 10 mana. Two Fireballs and a draw spell costs 11 for 12 damage, and actually have other (earlier) uses. It's not a bad card, really, but it's not great.
Continuing my shaman arena run... 8-2 now.

Fireball and Frostbolt are OK, it's mostly that you can go to the face with them and that Chugger and Water Elemental are great 2 and 4 drops (you also have Goblin Pyromancer[?], the aforementioned Flamestrike, Flame Cannon), and you also have sometimes-awesome Mana Wurm, but then there's a sharp drop-off after that list in the quality of cards. You have Duplicate and Mirror Entity and Counterspell (though there's a sharp drop in the latter two if your opponent has the ability to play around them), but then bottom of the bottom of the barrel stuff like Ice Lance, Spell Bender, Arcane Explosion, Mirror Image, etc. Mage is only at that "omg so broken 12-0" when you get lucky and stack multiple flame strikes behind multiple frost bolts and fireballs with Apprentice Mage[?] and Water Eles and then quality neutral cards, but then there are the drafts where you see 0 frost bolts or fireballs and your only AOE is an errant Blizzard. I feel like Mage has extreme variance swings in arena that are wholly dependent on you opening multiple flamestrikes and water elementals, and as the card pool for the game expands, your odds of pulling any of those cards shrinks, and the class drops off considerably as a result. That doesn't mean Mage is not in the uppermost tiers of Arena (and as I pointed out in the Paladin arena thread, Mage vs Paladin in a vacuum is 100% favored for Mage), I would just pick Paladin 100% of the time over Mage because the quality is spread out both over the cards offered in expansions and there are a similar/greater number of class commons you pick over most everything else, barring curve considerations.
On a similar note, Warlock is actually good in Arena now and I never thought that would be a thing I said. I'm currently 6-1 with such a tepid Warlock deck that just happens to have multiple Darkbombs and a single Void Caller with multiple Pit Lords and Watchers to cheat out. Void Caller and Darkbomb have, in tandem, made Warlock a real boy on their own.

Yeah, I should practice Paladin a few more times. I grabbed him shortly after talking to you in that other thread. Went 4-3, which is okay. He definitely is a powerful class, and one that I should really try to get better with.
Lost to a Paladin just now, in fact! I made a mistake in killing a 3/2 instead of knocking the shield off a 2/2 when I had a 6/5. I suspected he had a Blessing of Kings the way he'd been playing up to that point, but I decided to gamble against my own read and was never able to come back against that 6/6. 8-3 finish for me. Pretty sure all those losses were to Paladins...

It's definitely not bad, though I usually steam roll it playing Oil Rogue. It does a pretty good job of stomping on decks without early boardwipes. Not sure how it fares in the higher tiers though.

I've got a pretty stupid Arena deck going right now. Playing Druid, I've got three Ancients of War (and a Faceless Manipulator, just in case I need a fourth). Currently 5-0 thanks to that big butt.
