It's very erratic. I can ship the cards for MUC or MUC splash Flame Slash if you like (I worked on the archetype with TurboKitty3000).

Sure. Whichever one you think is stronger, I'll take it. Id rather have a deck that doesn't feel like a crap shoot.

MUC is the better deck, but if Affinity is still everywhere (probably) than MUC splash Flame Slash is necessary.

My list is a little different (I think he went too heavy on removal), but you get the idea.

That list looks fun. I haven't seen Affinity yet, but I haven't played much. I'm on right now, about to win some packs.

Well done! Yeah, I have been out of Pauper for about 3 months now, so I don't have an accurate read on the meta. I'll ask around and see what the format grinders think.

Z and Pedros, I have excellent new for ya MOCS1: Preliems.

(If I recall Pedros you have 30 MOCS1 QP, and Z I recall you mentioning that you had 15 for one of teh MOCS but I can't recall if it was MOCS1 or MOCS2?).

For those who can't be bother reading: the prelims start after DT and end just before MOCS1: FInals start.

Come and help DtR take over MOCS1 Finals with me ;-).

@Kait: I still have no idea bout when MOCS3 will restart, they didn't announce it

Lost in round 1 of an 8-man to Jund Monsters 1-2. My opponent was running that hexproof boar and Gift of Orzhova. Plus he managed to get his Poulakranos killed by making it monstrous to fight my Spark Trooper :stupid:

I decided to try out Zemanjaski's list for another 8-man and destroyed mono-black 2-0. Things are looking up already! :D

Just hopped in an 8 man. Got esper r1. Turns out t1 firedrinker t2 zealot t3 viashino t4 sparky is a bit much for it to handle. Lol.

Another 3-0 beating BG, Ux Devotion and Rw Burn so that is 20 Rupees (not that these rupees will matter if I can't find anyone to lead me some Robot cards (I do have most of it already) or if THS doesn't hits 3.5 in time).

Clan is barely 2 months old but we have over 2000 boosters and 3 members running for the poty race, that is insane guys.

i'll continue to be the only member who plays limited.

2-0 in the sealed daily...told some guys I would go to the bar at 9:30 tho so hopefully the round ends soon. If it takes too long I might just have to settle for 3-1 and concede for the sake of having a social life, tho

There is a problem posed for you in the Boros Burn primer. Go do math.

@Imopen2 -- Until i was testing for this past standard PTQ all i did was play limited. I usually can get on one time a night so I do the daily in standard and a phantom sealed. I do phantom cuz I can pretty much play it infinitely =D.

@Imopen2: Isn't Kait also a Limited Master?

@Jonnymagic: Didn't wizard kill phantom sealed EV when they introduce that "phantom only currently" WHICH YOU CAN'T EVEN TRADE!!! unless something changed recently it seems impossible to go inf. in that format.

Posted: Wed Mar 12, 2014 3:25 am
by Jonnymagic
I still get a QP if I 3-0 the phantom sealed. I do it cuz I can double queue while doing something else, and actually afford to lol.

Wow...

No more MOCS1 or MOCS3 I guess, at least this provides time for THS to go up in value for Modern farming.

I was hellbent on playing Naya as well, was gonna rock it Eken style and dodge UWx Control like a boss (he 12-0 the first half then died the first round vs UW control in top8).

Another 3-0 beating Uw Devotion, Uw Devotion and splitting with someone from Sally running my RB Aggro brew (which means if we played I would have crushed him).

I really need to workout how to beat UWx control with naya because this list seems really strong right now.

P.S. 22 QPs now, hopefully I'm back in my rightful place as top50 in the poty race.

you play a scout and save your boros charms for wraths. mending touch from the board helps too. I would say esper is the worst matchup for the deck but it's still about 40-60.

also, yes, kait is better at limited than me. I was just poking fun at him cause he has been playing standard almost exclusively this month.

also, fuck that @ptqs being cancelled. I was hyped for that
shit...

That is sounded advice, I dislike UW slightly more then Esper because I can flash in cards to deal with traditional "sac effect" - but some UW players run 2x Flares which turns the Combat Step into a nightmare :flame: .

I've been thinking about running 2x Mistcutter Hydra with my 4x Skyslasher, though I'm not sure how well that going to work with my 22 lands....

Posted: Wed Mar 12, 2014 6:19 am
by imopen2
I had a 2-2 split of skylasher and smiter in the side. I liked the bigger size of smiter and it can potentially be relevant against rakdos return/smaller creature decks. 4 skylasher might just be better, I didn't test enough. personally I don't think mistcutter is good enough with only 22 lands. at best he's a 3/3 and often just a 2/2. haste is nice I guess

@imopen2: I'll like to subscribe for your Hexproof column :p - running 2x Loxodon Smiter is quite clever

I'm looking at your list now, it seem like its much better then mine when its comes to transitioning into plan B (just try and beat them down).

I'm MD'ing Sweeper and Devour Flesh hate with Voices and Boros Charm while you're running Fleecemane Lion and Boon Satyr for aggressively costed creatures. I'll def. try 2x Smiter out it seems much more realistic then powering out Hydra (or should they just be Lions in my case since I'm running none?).

I will probably have to stuck with RB devotion. UW Devotion wasnt as good as thought (btw _Soku_ - one that was first to invent white splash to mono u said UW matchup is horrible, even with white splash).

Bad thing is the fact there is shitload of burn.

Anyone could look into rb devo and leave some notes to upgrade deck vs burn?

My notes are that you just lose, especially with my new sideboard config. Since adding Blind Obedience I am better than 80% in the matchup.

Why not just play BW Control or Mid-range? It doesn't really have an glaring weaknesses (except maybe the BR or RB brews).

BW Control honestly seems like an excellent choice too me.

MOCS are dead (even though they said it wasn't two days ago) so MOCS1-3 will be on another date most likely on April or May.
